@@HaynesManuals where did you get those axle stands? Its a nightmare to find any that have a saddle big enough to seat the chassis member on and the ones in the vids are perfect. I'm jealous evey time I see them :D
You'd have to ask Ford that question. I presume that the engine design team specify the capacity based on the needs of the engine. More oil capacity means better ability to absorb heat, and a longer service interval before the oil is contaminated etc.
My friend, you made a very nice post! You must be an expert in this job. I give you five stars, thanks
Glad you enjoyed it!
Shouldnt be dipping the oil until the vehicle is off the axle stands and sitting level
Yes, ideally, the vehicle should be level when checking the fluid levels.
Someone knows how tall are thesse axle stands?
Measure the distance from the underside of the chassis members to the ground. That will tell you the minimum size the axle stands need be.

Hi, how much oil do these take?
The 2.2L engine takes 6.5 litres with a new filter, and the 2.0L engine takes 8.3 litres (grey dipstick) or 9.8 litres (yellow dipstick)
@@HaynesManuals thank you soo much. Why does the 2L take soo much oil??
