In this Guide I discuss Clockwork Horrors. These sentient constructs search Wildspace to destroy all organic life and devour raw materials to make more of themselves. Spelljammer never disappoints when it comes to the abstract. What are some of your ideas on using these creatures in your campaign?

Clockwork horrors created, sphere is depopulated, clockworks invade other spheres like a virus... aw sweet it's the phyrexians from MTG, I love those guys 🙂

An interesting if slightly restrictive enemy. I like the hivemind look and feel I just wished they got along with other races better so they could develop a bit of a culture instead of just being just apocalypse monsters.

I'd like to imagine they become allied with the Drow. The Drow get any intelligent organic life as slaves and the Drow give them any raw materials they find.

If you want sentient versions you can look up Phyrexia. Not nearly as restricted in form, but also far more horrifying, monstrous, and contagious. They’ve got plenty of culture.
