Late Fall is a great time to transplant apples and other fruit here in Central Virginia, Zone 7. I wait until the tree has gone completely dormant about mid Nov. Early Spring is OK ( March) but in very hot years spring planted trees dont have the time to get their roots established prior to theheat and drought.
Do I have to wait until the leaves have fallen off or at least turned yellow before transplanting in the fall? I was thinking of transplanting a one foot tall paw paw.
Informative video. Thankyou for the info. Curious at to what grow zone you are in for comparison, growing Paw Paws. I planted 7 seeds in a bucket with holes for drainage. Growing them in my dinning room.😂. So far I have 3 of the 7 sprouting.
Thanks for the info. I've got all thee KSU cultivars coming in the mail this spring, can't wait!

at what time of year can you harvest paw paws?
Pawpaws in my zone (5B) 1st or 2nd week of October.

Yellow leaves should be fine. 1ft tree is not that much to worry about transplant shock.
Thx for watching 👀.
