- Tenet Diplos Build 2021 (Guide) - The Party Never Stops (Warframe Gameplay)
With the Sisters of Parvos update we got some new weapons and some variations on existing ones. Of these new weapons a few stand out from the pack, this is the case with the Tenet Diplos.
This secondary features two special mechanics. One is the aim mode lock-on feature that is cool to do but inefficient and mostly gets in the way and the second is ammunition reload while holstered which while efficient does not allow you to enjoy the awesome reload animation this weapon has. The rest is a projectile based akimbo weapon with a solid fire rate, good magazine size but a sizeable reload duration.
The Tenet Diplos features very high Critical stats with thirty six percent base chance and two point two times critical multiplier. This comes at the cost of status chance which is only fourteen percent. Even with this low status chance a slash build through the use or Carnis Stinger is still possible and while it is functional it's certainly not spectacular.
I'd recommend we build the weapon to its strengths. Raw damage with high critical stats making use of all the new Galvanized mods. Shot, Crosshairs and Diffusion. While Shot and Diffusion may allow stacks to regress when the timer runs out, Galvanized Crosshairs gets a full reset which is a bit of a bummer.
One thing that I did forget to mention is if you have access to the recently buffed Creeping Bullseye than it's a great idea to use it on the standard build instead of the normal version of Pistol Gambit but I would not use it instead of the Primed.
For an Arcane, Deadhead is great since you will relay on direct damage and not on procs. The second option is Dexterity as long as you plan on using your melee as-well and the Holster Speed will synergize with the reload gimmick of the Diplos. That said, the most powerful option is obviously Deadhead.
One important trick for this weapon architype is the use of Arcane Pistoleer as the only thing that can stop you after you got going and your buffs are up is the reload. Pistoleer can fix that as long as you get consistent headshot kills.
A good part of this weapons power relays on the player obtaining headshots so if that's not your thing than perhaps it's best to look somewhere else. As with most critical weapons, headshots are crucial.
Another thing to mention is that we tested Galvanized Shot and even thou this IS a projectile based weapon the mod provided the correct damage benefit so it becomes a must have on the weapon as long as you can keep up the stacks consistently.
The performance is similar to that of a wild beast pounding its target. And while this may be a joy to use it will fall-off in super high level content.
That said, most players are never going to see level two, three thousand enemies so I would not worry about it.
Overall this is one hell of a secondary weapon that is fully worth building. As a progenitor go for Toxin with Saryn or whatever else toxin progenitor you prefer as toxin is the best element for the Tenet Diplos.
