A tentative plan for our 1st anniversary is to visit Nashville, visit the museums for Johnny Cash, the Country Music Hall of Fame, and my personal favorite, Patsy Cline. The Ryman is a definite must. Thank you for sharing your experience!!! It'll help in the decision making...

Well first thing Happy Anniversary!! We love Nashville and love the older country music. We enjoyed our tour of the Ryman Auditorium. It was so nice to see where so many country legends have stood. We live in Virginia and we want to go see Patsy Clines home place in Winchester and do a video from there. Hope you have a great trip to Nashville. Thanks so much for watching and commenting! Have a blessed day!

Something else you may like to visit is the wax museum at the outlet mall near The Opry House. They have a wax figure of Patsy Cline on display there. We did a video of the wax museum when we were in Nashville.

@@vafunseekers: Visiting Winchester someday is on the bucket list, along with paying respects at the cemetery where Patsy is laid to rest. There's a bell tower built there in her honor. Thank you so much for wishing us well!!

@@vafunseekers: Have just tuned into your video about the wax museum. It's fascinating to see that it's a Madame Tussaud's!!! When on the honeymoon throughout the UK and London, we visited the one in London; it was one of our last stops before heading back to the States. Thanks again for sharing!!! Your daughter did a great job singing along with Patsy, something I do too, while driving, windows rolled down, etc... They probably should be rolled up as my singing ain't so good... 😆 🤣 😂 😹

@@kristopher1799 It’s a fun place for sure. The Patsy exhibit was one of the best in the museum. We really enjoyed our time there. Thanks for watching.

Radio in the 1930's really made country music popular. But, it wasn't just the "usual" suspects of WSM and WLAC in Nashville, or KXEL in Waterloo, Iowa that were responsible. South of the Border, where Mexico felt "left out" when nations were dividing-up radio frequencies, allowed super high-powered (even by 21st century standards) AM stations to be built, XER, XERA, XET, XEAW, XEPN, and others ran upwards of a million watts of power. In addition to "surgery" of a questionable nature, a variety of products banned from advertising on U.S. radio, and assorted preachers, country music was big on those stations. And, a lot of it was live! FYU, "Air Castle" was a famous brand name for home electronics for many years. Remember the Spiegel mail-order catalog? Air Castle was their in-house brand for radios and such. I really liked this. I'm adding this to my bucket list. God Bless!

This is an awesome tour. I've even had the opportunity to see a Grand Ole Opry show at this location. The Mother Church of Country Music is such a beautiful building full of so much history.
I don't recall a Spiegel mail-order catalog. Anything like a Sears catalog? Definitely add this to your bucket list.

The Ryman was a neat place to tour. We are huge country music fans, and the Ryman is known as the mother-church. So many great artists have been in this building on this stage. Hope you enjoyed the video. Thanks for commenting. Happy New Year!

What does that even mean? Country music is still real music. There are some great artists playing real music at the Ryman nearly every night.
