  • Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema says he will not turn against Africans who have genuine challenges in their countries and are fleeing reprisals and harassment.
Speaking to SABC International News Editor Sophie Mokoena, Malema said past leaders such as Nelson Mandela, Kwame Nkrumah, Robert Mugabe and Muammar Gaddafi fought to unify Africans, a noble idea that must be defended and implemented.

Gaddafi fixed Libya first and wanted to spread his success throughout Africa, he even wrote the greenbook to direct African countries. Africans must unite to improve each others currencies, then our leaders can unite. Let us not burden South Africa alone. South Africans are now struggling to access simple heath care, Libya never experienced this during Gadafi's time because he put them first. Our politicians are just corrupt.

European countries have border but they are still united in trade. The borders are open, I can leave Switzerland tomorrow for Germany the next day on a train route or plane. Book an hotel for a few days and then go to France. Can you do that here in Africa? Europe is united even in their differences, ease of trade, ease of movement, one military, one currency. And where is Africa? They've been chanting the same songs for 60 years saying "we are not ready, give us time." And the situation keeps getting worse by the day. We're getting exploited in our division and have forgotten our unified struggle in independence. We have now turned to hate one another when the common enemy laughs at us while exploiting our resources. And our so-called leaders are letting it happen.

illegal immigration tends to do that. The best way to reduce the hate is to deport all illegal trespassers, ensure those who are in SA legally are vetted and pay tax and if they are employees their employment conditions should be in full corporation with labour laws.
Furthermore, all hijacked buildings should be raided and any illegal criminals should first be sentenced and locked up until they can be deported after serving their sentence.
Saying things like this can never be xenophobic and SA will not continue to let social well being of the nation regress into full scale uprisings just to appease foreign eyes. The media and EFF need to learn from the July riots.

Make a mess of everything and sit around letting delusional politicians tell them what to think. Jhb and those rural areas are all the same country. It is an actual right in the constitution for any native south africa to have freedom of movement anywhere inside South Africa.
I agree that Africans must be united. But it seems like many Africans get confused by the word "united". United means our economies should have trade partnerships, we must invest in each other's businesses, etc. It does not mean we are one people and our borders do not exist. South African is an independent country that has its own laws and every foreigner must be expected to follow all those laws starting from entering the country lawfully to working under proper labour laws to paying tax.

How can such a brother not be PRESIDENT!!!!? There is not a single South African Politician both black & white who has ever gone to various UK universities and lecture for hours without a single piece of paper to read!!! Brother Malema did that and more, How on earth can someone like brother Malema, who is so unapologetically African and brotherly! who is such an example to the continent not be appreciated by his own people? everything he says, is ideologically equivalent to Steve Biko, the late Tanzanian president J. Magufuli and the beloved late president Thomas Sankara of Burkina Faso (The land of the upright), I am fully apolitical, but I love to listen to brother Malema, he is the smartest & wisest politician in Africa, just look how his leadership unashamedly stood their ground & implemented new parliamentary dress code with the workers' uniform in a whitish & European parliament (RSA) with its bias & Euro-centric laws. as an African, I thank you bro. Malema for being the only S.A politician who has never used Xenophobic rhetoric to gain political ground - Ramaphosa and his allies should be ashamed of themselves to call themselves Africans!

I'll bealive Malema's words the day he put them in action. Like OD leader said, break-down the high walls in your house, give up security, try and drive pass Hillbrow at 10pm and look at young children prostituted, walk on the street in PTA and look at young children being offered drugs. Talk to the owners of building that are hijacked by illegal immigrants.
Malema is so priveledged to the extent that he has no idea, what we as citizens are dealing with,.the astroucious crimes committed by ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS to us, is painful. Malema must.give his addresses of all the properties he owns and keep all ILLEGAL FOREIGNERS with him.
We cannot continue to be imprisoned by ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS in our own homes, we are done. They must return to their own country's,
