That's cause of your government schools which have a good education system. From colleges they get into politics so that's where many lose interest in studies, few migrate to other states or countries etc.
When people praise my homeland and state, it fills me with pride. Feel free to explore, and you'll have a great experience. Rest assured, Malayalis are genuine and will never cheat you. The old town of Kochi has a lot of potential. They can redo it and like old cities in Europe and turn it into cafés . Shut the street down with no vehicles. And have musician etc....
I'm always worried about going into those kind of touristy stores. Thanks for showing what the experience is like. Really nice to see the friendly vibes. They were not too pushy, unlike in other places. The funny thing is that there is a push against Hindi imposition in the south, and thn you have a British lad coming down and pushing Hindi on the locals. 😂
South India is very special. It is not in your face. Not many crowds of people. A lot more people speak English which makes it great for international tourists. I think international tourists should first come to the South and then travel to the Taj Mahal and Rajasthan etc...
i wouldnt say south as a whole, i think kerala and goa speaks a lot of english compared the other states, maybe coz their literacy rate is generally higher? I have been to Tamil Nadu, Andra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and you would barely find anyone who speaks as good English as these people

Visit different areas in kerala,every foriners come to kochi and visit fort kochi lulu mall then goes to munnar,alappuzha and then returns. Do something than others does. You can try meesapulimala trekking which is second highest peak in south India it will be amazing experience.You can also visit wayanad there is also somany hill stations and beautiful places.If you want you can visit local areas especially my village 😊 in Malappuram district. U can speak in English, Namashkar and dhanyavaad are not common here. Say hi and thank you. South indians feel like Hindi is being imposed on us. And we don’t like that ..
