Simply amazing. My two requests: make a left-handed version of the guitar and (maybe in a firmware update) provide the ability to assign each string to a different midi channel.
Hey Dean! Happy to share that we do offer a lefty version in the black matte finish! Appreciate your request to assign each string to a different channel, we may have something up our sleeves in the future ;) But in the meantime, depending on what DAW you use, you may be able to set this up within your DAW preferences! Here's a guide of ours that walks through splitting MIDI channels in Logic Pro, Ableton, Studio One, Reaper, and Pro Tools: jamstik.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360049492032-Splitting-MIDI-Channels-How-to-Assign-Instruments-or-VSTs-to-Individual-Strings-of-the-Jamstik
I’ve been toying with midi guitar synths since the amazing and venerable Casio PG 380 (still got it) and Roland GR 30 in the eighties….tried most of them….this one hits a sweet spot…the super light weight also helps the experience..considering buying a second one……just wish the tuning key was a little more securely attached…I need a replacement….and congrats to Jamstik for stepping up their software game….it was pretty touch and go for a while….
I really want to know from Jamstik. Is this good for live performance. Cause i already have a two humbucker split coil guitar and it would be a waste if it couldn't play live. I love the guitar but for tht price tag, it should at least be able to play live
Hey Brian! We recently experimented with a slide and were really pleased with the results! We'll have our team film a demo of this application ASAP and will try to remember to send you a note on here when we post the video! Let us know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Yes…..but not better than the Casio PG-380… with a guitar made in the same factory concurrently with the earliest Ibanez superstrats with Wizard neck in the late eighties, real midi out and a wonderfully cheezy onboard synth…..still love mine….but this Jamstik is excellent.
Definitely love my Casio guitar. Unfortunately it not working. Probably new capacitors. The Jamstik I got was wonderfully set up though and plays great. That it had some of the switches for octave up and down and also a tone the Guitar. Why would you not put a knob tone on the guitar?
Best Jamstik video I’ve seen yet! Great video!

Just make it work.
I believe the latter is already in place...

Did you guys ever consider putting a mod-wheel (or knob) on the Jamstik studio. that would haver been cool as..
Man if Holdsworth had one of these back in the day...
How is the tracking? Can you compare its accuracy to other products like the Triple Play etc?
love their couch jam C:
Polyphonic full chord shaped capabilities on midi?
MPE Too yo !
so cool

So is it any better than the Casio DG-20?
toejam bass rocks
Is it best to use it in MPE mode or something. I have so much lag and the best computer that can be made.
I’ve tried USB midi and regular and both have similar lag. Somebody help please I really wanna ply my 8 and 9 string vst with it!
Does this work with the impact soundworks guitars?
How well does it do with a slide guitar style like blues bottleneck slide?

@@JamstikGuitars that's sweet ! I'm excited by your support for mpe
Anybody doing this live?
i thought there was a patent issue with having midi out on a guitar. is that still a real threat?
This would be epic if I wasn't a terrible grunge guitarist.
Hope this gets on Sweetwater.
Just saw Ridiculous Reverbs, someone trying to sell a beat up old 80's one for a ton of money lol. I hear the old ones don't track as well :)
what's a guitar? 😶🌫

The tracking on mine is just awful.
And watching the whole video it sounds like yours tracks just as badly.
