    I will be using this technique for my spiral garden. Thanks

    It works equally well without trying to follow the mind-boggling first one-minute-and-forty-seconds of this video.
    I failed maths in school so I like to keep things simple. It looks really cool but I'm going to need a bigger compass. :)

    Got dizzy there... Thank you so much Sensei. I was just researching about drawing spirals and came here.
    Wish to see more of your videos.
    Once again Thank you.

    What are the compass lengths please

  • @romher8753
    @romher8753 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Is there an easy way to draw multiple spirals forming from the same point while gradually getting tighter, or wider? Basically, I want to create a vortex consisting of five-six separate spirals.

  • @brucedelaplain7138
    @brucedelaplain7138 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    That technique will do if you don't insist on a smooth, evenly curving line. Each half spiral above is actually a half circle. Hence, the radius changes abruptly at each new setting of the compass.

    • @karunasong8665
      @karunasong8665 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I thought that too, logically as the compass doubles its length but since it doubles its length every half turn, it is a consistent pattern. Doesn't the pattern of increase make the whole structure smooth and evenly curving? Curious.

    • @michaelclift6849
      @michaelclift6849 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's quite easy to extend the same idea into quadrants, so then the radius steps are 1/4 of a turn.

    How does the diameter of the spiral relate to the length of the spiral, if that length was curved into a perfect circle? Circle to spiral ratio. Is there a general rule?
