What a great review. Looks like a awesome tire. Thanks to your platinum member for providing them. He sounds like a super nice guy. Great day at the Canyon!!
I need to thank you for the recommendation of tru-blu, between the tru-blu and a modification to the seals, i now have a set of leak free axial shocks. Two weeks now and they're still good, compared to the day or so before i modded them :)
I'm just at the Mounting of the Tires on the Wheels. I wish all of them Mounted like that. I also learned not to assume how the tires will work due to looking at all the Tire Tests. Thanks for all these Tire Tests! 🤙🏼 Edited : Annnnnd one tire acted like a fool 🤣 while mounting. I'm going to start waiting till the end to leave a message. 🤣🤣🤣
I understand your beef with proline, but I love there g8 compound, and I’m running a 2.2x5.25 tsl sx on front and a cut boggers 1.9 stretched on a 2.2 in rear ( because I saw you run the hunk / hold combo ) , and man it will crawl. Plus I can hit the pond (mud) then go right back to rocks. I guess what I’m saying is I would enjoy seeing you try a similar setup in prolines g8.
I am in total agreement with you 💯 I am far from a Proline Fan but the Proline Hyraxx and Crawler and even the KM3 in G8 and most definitely Predator Compound are a DAMNED GOOD TIRE. I have Proline Hyraxx, Crawlers and KM3's in G8 and Predator Compounds. I have JConcepts Tusks and Holds in Green Compound. I have RC4WD Super Swamper Thornbirds, Boggers, Goodyear Wrangler MT/Z and Mickey Thompson Baja Claw TTC in the softest compounds I could get them in. I also have Duratrax Fossil now and they are awesome. So I am not Nut Swinging Proline I just think he doesn't like Proline a helluva lot more than most. I mean I don't particularly care for Traxxas and all my Crawlers are Either Axial or Custom Chassis but I would never say the TRAXXAS is junk because I don't like them. I hope I made since without sounding like a crazy person.
Would you test a Proline Hyraxx Predator Compound Tire or there Crawlers on Predator Compound if sent to you? I don't particularly like Proline myself but those 2 Tiers are friggin good tires. It's sorta like I don't particularly like TRAXXAS but I do have a couple TRAXXAS RC's, there not Crawlers because I am perfectly happy with Axial and my Custom Chassis Crawlers.
I'll test any Pro-Line product, I just won't buy any Pro-Line product. I tested the Krawler recently, but have never used any of the Hyrax, only the Amazon knock-offs,
@@CrawlerCanyon It may be about a month to 5 weeks but I will do my best to send you a set of Hyraxx to test. I know how they work on the Rocks and stuff hear in NC I think they will work well in the Canyon. 🤙🏼
Tried those on my 2kg lcg but ultra soft in front and super soft rear and JC foam. A bit to thick rubber for my light rig, but god bite on the rocks.....
I have these on my Ecto. They are very good, I find the stock foams a little firm. Pricing in the US is interesting. In Aus they are about 2/3 the price of a Proline. They are up around the performance of Krawlers and Tusks.
Nice review, I think I 'm sold. Are these the SS super soft or US ultra soft ones? In Europe they're 50€ for four. Your idea about how they would perform as a dig tyre would be appreciated.
I looked through the Jetko site for the inserts-- yellow is soft, grey/black is medium, and then they have a "gear" version of each similar to Crazy Crawler foams. I would imagine that the SS/US would be like Pro-Line's G8/Predator-- so the US probably not if it gets REALLY hot where you are. If not, might as well go ultra soft. As their soft insert feels like a typical Duratrax/JConcepts medium, I dunno what the Jetko medium would feel like. The look of their other crawler tire, the Adventurer, looks interesting as well.
Yeah, I noticed that one too. That pattern is different but looks interesting. I don't live in a country where we have hot summers, so I 'll go for the US. If we hit the mid 80's we have a very warm day.
It's running the underdrive gears from the regular Stealth X, I replaced all of the links to lengthen the wheelbase to 12.8" (to match the body,) and I run the battery mounted on top of the steering servo. That's about it. It's a stock SE.
He has the links in the description but it's not obvious. He uses the closed cell inner foam of an Amazon dual stage and a medium hair bun as the outer. It works really well and as a bonus, you effectively get a water proof tire insert. It's also very cost effective
All the Jetko tires i have seen have been 40 bucks a pair like the Ott six KLR`s. I just couldnt get myself to throw that kind of money at a tire that had no background in crawling.
Yeah, the pricing structure for the US market is weird-- they're apparently much cheaper everywhere else (a commenter from Belgium mentioned that the Jetko are 50 for a set of four over there. I would to see them priced right alongside JConcepts.
I'd never even heard of that manufacturer before. I love the music references.
Very cool! I had never even heard of these. Thanks once again ShakerMT!

It might have been me that requested them at least once
Seem like real good tires. Great work man.
Nice to see you here big country!!!❤

Would you show us how to measure the internal resistance of a lipo, not related to today's review however you mentioned it recently. Thanks!

also have you tried the crazy crawler foam. I've aways ran soft foams in front and mediums(in any brand) in the rear.

1:35 gives me the answer...
But then here I can choose between SS and US. What would be the difference 🤔
They all seem to have a light grey insert.

If you had the choice between these Jetko's and the RC4WD Mickey Thompson Baja Claw tyres, which ones would you take?
I think the Baja Claw edges out the Jetkos. The Baja Claw remains my favorite "translation" of a 1:1 tire. It's just so good.
I have an enduro sendero Did you upgrade anything under the car body?
It's running the underdrive gears from the regular Stealth X, I replaced all of the links to lengthen the wheelbase to 12.8" (to match the body,) and I run the battery mounted on top of the steering servo. That's about it. It's a stock SE.
Which tyre should you say is the best of them all? Tusk?
For just overall consistency, yes, I would say Tusks.
@@CrawlerCanyon I think I want to try the Baja claw just for the looks 😊 is that a top 10 tyre to?
Never heard of Jetko. They seem like good tires.
They make belted off-road and on road 1/8 and 1/10 scale tires and they make beadlock wheels and wheels and I think they make 1/5 scale
Oh crap i have a set of these, they aren't bad
When you say double buns, what do you mean by that?
Yes what does that actually mean?
Instead of foam in the tires you use two hair buns
Like for a girls hair the fluffy ones?
@@Big_Country_RC Yes they kinda look like a scrubber sponge.

Luckily for me in NZ these are very affordable @ $100 full set vs prolines @ $160-$180!
klr-m vs jetko..should be good comparison.
All the Jetko tires i have seen have been 40 bucks a pair like the Ott six KLR`s. I just couldnt get myself to throw that kind of money at a tire that had no background in crawling.

@@CrawlerCanyon I agree 100%
Tread kind of reminds me of a gmade 1904
They’re like a chevron patterned Proline Hyrax
