I can't imagine how challenging this would be to run in winter! I hope you have a fantastic season. The only (Grade 2) white water I canoed (not kayaked) was the Ardèche in summer holidays as a 13 and 14 yr old girl in the 1970s. I was really quite unhappy at being required to paddle past a whirlpool with a co-canoeist with zero experience and arguably less aptitude. Sadly, my cartilage-shot knees ruled out any more canoeing or kayaking after that but I remember the teenage fun and exhileration.
