Thank you for sharing this wonderful video, Mr. Vanderpool. As always, all of your videos/lectures are very informative and contain rich sources of information. Thanks, Phuong
Hello, I enjoyed and learned a lot from this experience but I have a question. When you were pointing out the specifications of the 'multi-purpose' device like the CPU and stuff, when you explained the RAM portion that when the device is powered on it creates a small space that acts like a 'C:' drive and the rest of the memory is for the Linux firmware. When the 'C:' drive space is created what is it used for? My thoughts about it is torn between it being used as a temp storage when packets are transferred when the device is in use 'or' the storage space used by the Linux firmware settings like a 'CMOS' for 'BIOS'.
I have a very similar linksys router. which is not detecting cable connected to WAN port(it is a old one and out of service). What could be wrong? or is it possible to use, one of the 4 ports as wan port? Thanks in advance.
So sorry I am just getting to your comments! Thanks for watching! I am working hard on keeping up with the great questions and comments from the TH-cam community. Again apologies for not responding within a reasonable time frame.
Mr Lowell you are an incredible person .
This was an excellent presentation and thought provoking for an IT student expanding their knowledge.
