I remember how miserable that truck mission was, until I realised you had to get out of the truck and fight those suckers. I always thought this game was criminally underrated too. Finally! My game getting some love. I loved and still love this game. It's so close to perfectly nailing Mad Max and his world. There's so many nods to all the movies in the series, not just Fury Road. Then there's the gameplay itself which is stellar. Add an all-time greatest photomode and insta-classic.

The punches feel so damn good! I loved how my ending played out. I think I got all of the upgrade guy's dialogue right before the final mission, and I remember loving how their talk prepares you whats about to happen.
The only thing I'd change about this game is to add the dog as your companion for the "Black on Black" car. In the second movie (which takes place right after this game) it shows that Max took the dog with him, and even trained him to use make shift weapons on his car. Imagine a dog shooting people with a harpoon

I loved that game. The funniest thing that happened to me was when i was giving water to random people. A enemy car spotted me and charged right at me. I see the car in the background during the animation, the car hits something, the car fly and land right on the people i was helping and explode, killing everyone but me.
Other than the great graphics, great story, great car AND hand to hand combat, great upgrade system, great environment (storms were awesome)... What stuck out to me was the little details in the nooks and crannies of the world. The stories behind all the photos you found. There was a ton of love put into the making of this game, and I appreciate that.
I replayed it recently. I have to say, it's definitely super underrated. I played it back when I was in college on my shitty laptop. This time I played on my desktop at full settings, and I have to say, it was a delight. good fighting mechanics, arcade like but very good driving model. A very good story as well. I mean the game was an all rounder for me.

This is a really underrated game. Didn't finish it all the way through when I played it a few years back, was thinking about it recently and now you bring it up. Think it's time to jump back in the magnum opus some time soon
Love this game. A buddy of mine wanted me to check it out and insisted on watching the playthrough. I drove backwards in every car mission, discovered you can jump up small cliffs in a car by ramming them head on and slamming nitro on impact. My favorite bit will always be the enemy AI though. I remember I set up a flaming wall of cars beneath a bridge, then watched as a convoy of raiders on the opposite side detected me, drove directly into the flaming wall, and exploded. I don't consider any of those things bugs, they made an already great game greater.
I played Mad Max last year and had a lot of fun! In the end I didn't completely lowered the threat level in each area because I had Max and the car completely leveled up and I just wanted to finish the story. It took me about 60 hours.
I loved this game i got so many good fin from it helps that it had alot of nice classic cars in it plus all the movie refences and all the other easter eggs in it like the dying light container the one u first fight the demolitioner in

This game really excelled when it came to the sound design. The shotgun sounds like God slamming his fist down, the punches sound thick, the critical hits sound crunchy, and the car. Oh God the CAR! It sounds PISSED! When you roll out of a settlement and you hear that engine just... GROWL at you, like it's some primal beast. Glory to the Archangel Combustion! Glory to the V8!
It is pretty awesome. I am playing it through this time. I put it aside and then gave it to my brother because I sucked at the combat and the driving. Now, years later, he gave it back to me for Chrismas.

I bought this game after watching the movie which was amazing. And I still play it from time to time. The car combat, melee and explosions are top notch. Also the atmosphere and sound effects are great.
I need to actually stay at this game to beat it. It's really good, but I keep getting sidetracked by other things and end up not going back to it. I wouldn't have minded if you were able to sneak around and silently takedown enemies also, but Max's huge iron balls disallows this xD

You do know that you can still do side rams and shoot out of the truck, right? Kev seems to have overlooked that as well.

Calling an observation balloon 'bandit headquarters' is an extreme underestimate of the amount of bandits in most locations.
