    A terrible detective who became a McDonald's manager and went to jail for tampering with evidence; a creepy dude who lived in a trailer and who murdered a coworker when she rejected his creepy advances; a brother who called his own sister--and his own parents--trash; a police chief who got busted for selling drugs--this is the most a Ohio story I've ever heard.

    Good video. I’d like to know how people are so forgiving of Shawn, the officer for his “innocent mistake in this case” when he had multiple lives in his hands that he was trying to unjustly ruin. I hesitate to believe they’d feel this way if they were the ones he’d falsely accused. Oh. He’s just made a mistake. He’s a good guy. Nope. He’s crooked and is getting a slap on the wrist for one of the things he happened to get caught doing. I’ll bet his supporters are like him as well. Birds of a feather flock together.

      They perhaps think it is a pursuit of merely statistic to count a crime to a caught suspect, any suspect and not giving the consideration and interest of society as not allowing the actual culprit going around free to potentially commit new crimes? Especially if the faulty suspect already have something of a problematic background.

I'd imagine things would be done more fairly for the accused in a lot of instances.

      I don't think their ice cream machines are really "broken." Years ago I had a job where I got off half an hour before McDonald's closed. They often told me their milk shake machine was taken apart for cleaning. I figured they just got an early start on it, until it happened at other places, and during the day. Once I got a shake that tasted sour. Don't know why their machines are different, but when the milk goes sour they just say, "cleaning," or "broken."

    Your summing up of that horrendous detective was perfect.
    It can be a trait for the detectives over here in the UK as well. They view certain people as trouble makers and villains, and it doesn’t matter if they are innocent of something because they deserve to be in jail anyways. [the attitude is - if I can’t get you on one thing I’ll get you on another]
    Some might think that this is good justice, until you realise that they view entire communities this way in poor rundown areas, you are guilty just because to live in that area and look/dress or speak a certain way.

    @Dr. Grande -- the McDonald's ice cream mystery was already solved about 2 years ago by another TH-camr, the issue is that the machines are difficult to clean and have some other user and product issues, in part (or whole) around food safety and preventing Listeria, etc. -- so it overcleans to the point of often being broken, especially due to certain user-related issues in that process that exacerbate things. There's a single manufacturer for these machines that McD's relies on, so this is why the issue is so pervasive and chronic.

    The ice cream machine is always “broken” because the employees don’t want to clean it.

    • @irishime
      @irishime 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      It's really because McDonald's has been using the same damn ice cream machine model since the 50s and the machine supplier is the only one who can fix it. They charge McDonald's in the thousands to fix the cheap parts on their machines. The TH-cam MatPat did a video on why the ice cream machines are always down at McDonald's.

    • @irishime
      @irishime 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      Also, this particular ice cream machine was self-cleaning, so there would be no need for employees to take it down & clean it. The only person who would know how to take the machine down was the technician from the machine's supplier.

      @@irishime Good explanation. I was just going off what my brother told me back when he was working there, but that was about 25 years ago. It was also the case for the Burger King I worked at on an Army base in Germany about 19 years ago. We cleaned that machine by hand, and certain managers would tell us to just leave it off.

    Obsessed with Disney? Hmm, when we were a boy, a conversation with Walt Disney happened on a public street. The man was poorly dressed and smoked, one after another, Camel cigarettes. Had a raspy voice, fingers stained yellow! He died less than a year later.

  • @possumpretty973
    @possumpretty973 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

    What I think happened… it had nothing to do with the text message from her brother… their relationship had been volatile for years.. siblings saying bad things to each other was nothing ground breaking for them…. I think… that the woman and man who worked together talked about smoking pot and she possibly buying some from him after a sample of it… after they smoked pot he made his move and the rest of the story unfolded with a horrible ending.

    • @aarondavis8943
      @aarondavis8943 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      I agree, the text message theory is too pop-psychology to be the likely explanation. This young attractive woman would not go with this creepy older guy, who she had been warned about, just because he sympathised. She may have been angry about the text, though, and was more prone to risk-taking, but I believe the offer of drugs was what got her to the trailer. Also, I think he already planned to kill her from the get go. We only have his word as an indication of the "rejection theory". This is a self-serving account; it was a cold-blooded murder, not a rage killing. He already hated this woman and he was clearly intelligent enough to presume she wouldn't want to have sex with him long before they entered his trailer.

    • @StormSong8
      @StormSong8 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Agreed. Pot relationships know no bounds, especially in a state where it's illegal. I've seen people get together to smoke who would never look at each other otherwise. _I've_ hung out with people I never would have, back when I was a kid and pot was illegal. Just knowing somebody smoked weed made me feel connected to them, because _I_ liked it and I like me. Weed smokers, in my experience, are chill and relaxed, and I've never known them to be violent. Just goofy and lazy in a "Cheech and Chong" kinda way. Thank God I never ran into this monster!
