Batman is a symbol. He’s more realistic than any other character because he’s human. He’s suffered like us. But he doesn’t let that stop him. He knows he’s human but is willing to put his life on the line to protect people. He shows us that we can be anything as long as we don’t give up and keep working. That is the idea of Batman. He isn’t some dude in a costume. He’s a symbol of hope. And a symbol of fear.

I direct a live theater performance that will be traveling to high schools during 2021. It centers around Batman as a detective solving a crime, and explains how he makes decisions when under pressure. The show is a glorified assembly for kids talking about fear management, decision making, and relationship dynamics. THIS IS THE SAME SONG I CHOSE as my background music during one the monologues for the show; attempting to give it that feeling of a Noir story. Glad to know I'm not the only person who felt that this song fits the mood of Batman. GREAT VIDEO!
It’s funny, this (specifically the keys) sounds very similar to Michael Gianchinno’s Batman theme (and that Batman called himself vengeance for a majority of the movie). Everything is relative
