I love mine! I wear it around my neck on a piece of paracord and I actually use it more often than my favorite lights (Pd35 tactical, and PD36R) Fenix makes awesome lights!

I personally like a flooder for practical use. Flooder side firing makes for working on a car or unloading groceries handy a magnet might help for hands off use! Just my opinion 🤷🏼💭

There is still a bit of flood on this. I think they designed it so that you would have something that was always on you and could be used for some throw (especially with the narrower TIR) if you need it. I think they understand that if you have a keychain light, you probably also have another light that could be used for working on cars or has magnets.

I’ve had the original version since it first came out & it’s still running strong. There are some really nice upgrades on version 2. Thanks for the excellent review!

Thank you so much for the kind words, Larry! It is a special light for sure. Crazy they can pack so much into a single light!

Thank you so much! Fenix has always been a good brand to work with, and their keychain lights are no exception.

Wish they listed how long runtime on red... otherwise like the size and footprint. Not sure i like that, but did i see it right that the long press did cycle through the white light before going to red?

Unfortunately since it is a sealed unit, I wouldn't be able to measure parasitic draw to see if it matched the five lumen output of the white light. If I was able to, then I could give you a rough estimate of the runtime.
Also, yes you do have to cycle through white for a split second to get to red. Is that a deal breaker for you? Aside from that, what do you think of the light?

I'd really like to buy it but I'm not so sure about how secure is against accidental turn on in your pocket. It is easy to long press the button against something on your key chain, in your pocket etc. and you'd end up with a dead battery when you need it most.
It happens often with my Nitecore Tiki and I suspect the same would happen with this one.

It doesn't support usc-c to usb-c cables so you can't charge it from your phone or Mac. Only usb 2 to usb C.

I saw your comment and had to test for myself. Right now it is charging with a USB-C to USB-C cable. It's possible that the one you are using does not allow it to draw enough current.

Nope, C to C works fine. It's your source that's the problem.
