- Tofu is one of my absolute favorite foods and I make a point of cooking tofu once a week (when my husband has his steak-and-potato night 😏). The best thing about cooking tofu is that it’s quick and simple. Tofu itself has no flavor but it acts like a sponge and soaks up all the flavors around it.
In this recipe, I’ll show you how to create this delicious and wholesome tofu stew featuring the umami-rich Taiwanese satay or sacha barbecue sauce. We’ll add the slurp-worthy glass noodles to round out a satisfying meal.

Ingredients:
Tofu (medium firm)
Baby king oyster mushrooms
Shiitake mushrooms
Carrot
Vine tomato
Cabbage (can substitute with napa)
Garlic
Ginger
Black pepper
Glass noodles
Taiwanese satay or sacha sauce (I use the Bullhead Barbecue Sauce, which comes with regular or vegetarian options)
Soy sauce
Rice vinegar
Green onion
Coriander
