Here’s a good example as to where all our characters come from: Texas wanted to copy popular shows like Sesame Street, so in New York, Sesame Street was born and it became a state pride and joy for New York Kids to tell visitors that Big Bird and Sesame Street was born there and filmed in their state, like when kids went to school and someone moves from another state to join the class, those kids used to say to the new kids that they knew Big Bird and all the other characters because they lived here in NY. Same little teasing and prideful jokes in Texas Schools when kids in Texas found out that Barney was born in Texas and they started bragging to the new kids that Barney was their state Dinosaur and they all knew him.

That late 80s costume isn't doing very well even after the childrens hospital in 1989.
