The "fan" of the second boss actually bears a striking resemblance to Heart and Wile of the Vortex, WHM Garuda crafted weapons. Just, you know, way bigger.
Apparently the Ixal got along with the Shroud's elementals just fine for most of their history. Then the Midlander Hyur started to push around native populations (most notably Elezen) with their, ahem, 'forceful migrations'...
I know this is *incredibly* late, but I want to point out that the amal'jaa riding lizards can breath fire. One of their beast tribe dailies involves riding one around to set fire to enemy supplies. They DO ride into battle on boxes of matches. Just very scaly boxes. :p
Don't the goobues have some kind of impulse to be in/die in places where there's no greenery? There's that one in Eastern Thanalan that has a quest about it but I did it so long ago I can't remember it well. I'm probably completely wrong, but that might explain why the goobues are in Xelphatol?
Much like religious zealots in the real world, I'd assume the Ixal would refuse the truth or become more violent as a result of it. So leading them to Azys Lla probably wouldn't fix anything.
I will never look at the reindeer suit the same way again.

One thing for sure. Your outfit is on point.
Okay, now we need a lore video on the Great Goobue Wall.

What are the lore implications of that outfit? :)
Cid mentions the Great Gobbue Wall of Ul'dah when you 1st encounter him in 2.0 at the church in Drybone

I get a similar LotR feeling whenever running this dungeon. As if I'm expecting to bump into the goblin king at the end or something.
"Nuzal Hueloc"
Means "One who can be in many places".
Love how despite his glamour he's rocking almost 25k HP. How much Vitality is slotted in there!?! You could tank like this!!! xD

Majestic.

More could become like the Ecahtl Nine though. Free of the Allagan programming that makes them so susceptible to summoning their goddess-general.
Doesn't the ixali crafting quest give some hint on the ixali lore?
It does, as does the Fractal Continum.
yay for proper football!
What's the lance you're using?
Its the upgraded Shire Halberd
thank you! i hadn't seen it before :D
np still think gae bolg is the best looking drg weapon in game.
It would be nice if the beastmen got their own warrior of light. They summon out of desperation and get shit on
+1 for hand egg.
Its a mystery
I must admit, I disagree. I fall asleep each time i get Xelphatol...Gubal Hard was far more interesting in design and music for me.
