Wonderful! This is much more like how I would like to use my syntakt than "the average syntakt video". Really helpful to see an example like this! Also really loving the sounds
I love this. I didn’t use my Syntakt for quite a while because I made sounds with it that were a bit too harsh and digital to my own liking, but you demonstrate here that it is quite good at analog sounds and warmth! Very inspiring.
Thanks Jan! I agree, and for a long time we struggled with it. The envelopes are also quite snappy but you can really soften them up by dialing them down a bit. And we almost always put a base width filter that cuts somewhere north of 3-6 khz. It's a very gentle slope (I'm guessing 6 dB per octave) so you still retain a lot of top end in the full mix. With tricks like this, the Syntakt can sound very warm and rich with both the analog and digital tracks. 😊
Kay, thanks for your comment. I always appreciate your feedback. The Syntakt is an enigma to me. It's like it pulls me in new directions every time I use it.
Wow this is really great. I can definitely see this being theme for a movie/game and would also be possible to add drums for this theme for different kind of settings. Well done 😄
@@Bobo Thank you for your comment, it means a lot. You're right, I hear those movie soundtrack drums in my head sometimes when listening to this piece. With a couple of more tracks, we could have attempted it right on the Syntakt, but probably easier to add it in the DAW. 😊
@@MFPRODUCTIONSCHANNEL Thanks! I use a Birdcord 12V PD adapter from Songbird. Then any decently spec'ed PD compatible powerbank will do. 😊 I use a 65W PD powerbank which is probably a bit overkill as I'm told some have been successful with a 25W version. But 'PD' here is key - it stands for power delivery and it means it can deliver, among other voltages 12V. Hope this helps!
@@mankismelbournejay Haha 😂 Appreciate the Hans Zimmer remark. 🐮 I'm using a Birdcord 12V PD cable and a PD compatible powerbank. It's really neat. My battery lasts for more than six hours on a full charge. 😊
Excellent desktop synth performance
@@nicholasbalette6354 Thank you Nicholas! 🙏
One of your best so far!
Thank you, really appreciate it!
this is amazingly cool! It feels like a modern take on John Carpenter soundtracks of the 1980s.
@@Honeysmack Wow, thank you - that's one heck of a composer to even be remotely compared against. 🙏🌟Thanks for listening and sharing that!

Thank you! If you ever upload music on your own made on the Syntakt , please let me know!
@@sinewaymusic Will do! 🙏🏻
Very good - and not the usual Syntakt stuff for sure!
Thanks for listening and for the feedback!

A huge sound from a compact machine. Awesome!
It definitely punches above its weight! Thanks for your feedback. 🙏🌟
Impressive. The brass sounds make it feel like a real orchestra. Mission achieved.👍

Sounds great! I'm wondering what powerbank / cables you use to power the Syntakt outdoors?
