It's starting to sink in for me. I'm going to keep watching. Broke 90 (89) yesterday for the first time mostly by not being stupid and following some of Matt's ideas. It felt really good! Thanks.
Great tips as always. Also I finally broke 100 for the second time on Monday. Scored a person best of 94. The biggest change was that I left my driver in the bag and was teeing off mainly with my 4 hybrid. I found the fairway so much more frequently. Not too mention when playing my second shots on par 4's and 5's, I used my 5 hybrid instead of my 3 wood. My shots went so much straighter
Unbelievable I’ve been doing exactly what you’re saying just by following all of your previous advice and it’s led me to what you are saying on this video
Matt, I have only broken 100 once on a short course a while back. I started this season off with a 114. Since following your advice I’ve had a nine hole round 8 over at a par 3 course and I shot a 106 the other day. I used toe down chipping and almost holed out twice and ended up chipping one in from 47 yards for a birdie! First time ever holing out! Just trying to be a playa like you
I've got those Cleveland wedges in sand and gap wedge. If I'm not in a weird lie, my favorite clubs to hit. It isn't good in beach or sandbox sand though, it just sinks in like a submarine diving. I might need to get different sand wedges for different courses because the sand is so different from course to course.
Just scored a personal best round today whilst muttering “GIOTG” and “Be Confidential” to myself … used 5-iron off the tee a few times despite the ribbing from my playing partners … thanks Matty Boom Boom
You have been preaching toe down chipping for Some time. Practiced it and used in my rounds… absolute game changer! Expecially live saving in very wet conditions for me. Short game is ‘ok’ during dry conditions but this technique saves the day every time when things get difficult. Definatly one of my trusted safety shots. Thanks 😋
Found the fairway bunker twice recently. Tried the chin up recommendation and came out of there like a pro and got a few nice out, nice shot. Thanks Matty Boom Boom!!! BTW people, if you haven't purchased any of the shorts or shirts, what are you waiting on? Loving mine and I have several of each.

Just broke 100 (96) this morning! 2nd season playing did not hit a single ball whole last year. (Total 22 rounds 65% only 9 holes, and not a lot range time) 1 6iron tee shot ob miss hit. and 1 bad bounce ob long green pw. 3holes with 0p.(9,9,8) But 4 par and 2 amazing birdies after planting some birdie feathers. Never looked at the score card until my mate calculated on the way to our cars! 👍👌🏻
Broke 100 off the 4,760 yard tees for the first time today ever- shot 98 total, 51 front/47 back with only a 3 wood or 6 iron as a tee club. Also holed a 43 yard chip for birdie on a par 4- I’m keeping that lucky ball as a souvenir 😁
Thanks for the advice that you gave me a while back, after a few weeks of working on 150 yards and in! I have dropped about 4-5 strokes off my game! Average rounds now in the mid 70’s! Bad days are in the low 80’s! I can’t thank you enough sidekick golf!

My local courses have a lot of elevated greens, which I don't commonly hit. Is there a recommendation from the golf folk for a chip with 5 yards of rough (with 4 foot of elevation increase) and 20 yards of green?

Fantastic video. Just one question, use a 64 wedge and hit it more reliably than a 56 or 60 degree opened-am i right to continue using it? Its a ht model and toe taps from 10 yards in are super. Thanks
