Yes, I agree! Birdtricks is an amazing channel!!! But there feeding system is a little bit advanced for the beginners and I think chop is a great way to get them started!!! What kind of birds do you have?

Thank you for watching!!! I hope it does as well. If you have never fed chop to your birds before you will have to transition them on to it. Just do some research about that, hopefully soon ill have a video come out about that! What kind of birds do you have?

@@davidthebirdguy517 no problem, I love your videos as they are very fun and informative to watch. I do as much research as i can to try and give my birds the best life possible. I have two budgies, both are girls and they love playing with (and destroying) their toys 😆

@@davidthebirdguy517 aww your birds are really cute. I love to see my birds playing with the things I buy them (even if they do wake me up early in the mornings), it makes everything that I've done for them worth it. I'd do anything to see my birds happy.❤

Love watching and learning from your videos. What I was wanting to know is some of the ingredients are gassy such as cauliflower, spinach, and kale. Do parakeets have a tolerance for that?

I didn't hear you mention what the last 2 grains were, can you tell me or can you just tell a list of grains that you have added?
Do you have to do anything special to the grains before you add them?
One video mentions chia seeds and how they soak them before giving them to the budgies
thank you in advance for your help

Yeah, here is a list of grains you can provide for your bird whole wheat or veggie pasta, brown rice, cooked barley, millet or quinoa, oats. I will be updating this video soon. Yes! Many people will soak their seeds and give their birds the sprouts. These are super healthy.

Sorry to keep bothering you. But not sure if this is a concern or not. I put all my parakeets on the chop recipe yesterday, they seem ok with it poop a little watery but I'm keeping an eye on it. The concern is after they all eat they stay fluffed up and I'm not sure if that ok. Please help!

Your fine. I like answering questions. So to answer your first question. Yes, it is totally normal for your birds to have a more watery poop. Since these foods have a higher water content that means your bird will expel more water. Now if your birds poop is almost all water, that could be a problem. But if there is like I said just a bit more water, your fine. Puffing up after a meal is something that my birds do a lot. I dont think this is a bad thing. While it is a bit difficult to tell the difference from a sleepy bird and a sick bird. But of course if you are worried, you can see a vet. Peace of mind is worth a lot. Also if your birds are puffy all the time that could mean a sickness, but if they are only puffy for a bit, I would say your fine.

I also double checked the ingredients and found them all to be safe. I also found that an excessive amount of cabbage can cause some irritation. So you could leave that out if you are skeptical.
