    Very nice XDS! Did you have to have your speedometer recalibrated when moving to the 32s? Will the clutch need changed to accommodate the 32s?

    • @AssaultOffroad
      @AssaultOffroad  ปีที่แล้ว

      I was told by the dealer that I wouldn't need to change the clutching but the speedometer won't be perfectly accurate without a recalibration but I'm not too worried about it. I can use the Dragy if I want to get more accurate speeds.

    I would put ceramic clear tent on the front windshield or lite tint

    hello
    why did you go back to the ds from the xrs

    • @AssaultOffroad
      @AssaultOffroad  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I forgot to include that in the video. Where we ride most of the time, the trails are narrow. I could make it through with the xrs but I'd have to slow down and steer around a lot of things. That would slow everyone in our group down too. Also, I want to ride the Allegheny National Forest this year which doesn't allow anything wider than 64".

      @Assault Offroad how is the ride by comparison? I'm on the fence of XRS vs XDS.

    • @AssaultOffroad
      @AssaultOffroad  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @ShawnzFPV the xrs definitely soaks up the choppy stuff better. But the xds feels tighter, and it's easier to whip around than the xrs.

    I’ve got the same rig down to the color. I’m also going with the same style storage box on the back compared to the overpriced $350 oem or the cheap $30 bow box.

    how did you install the winch without a front bumper? what are you using ?

    Do you have to do any tuning or clutch adjustment when going from 30" tires to 32"?

    • @AssaultOffroad
      @AssaultOffroad  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The dealer told me that the clutch setup is identical to the XRS which has 32" Carnivores, so the clutching and tune aren't necessary unless you want to keep the same acceleration you had before swapping out the tires.

    Beautiful machine buddy . I just have a base 2022 DS Turbo 120 . I just did my two year review on it. 1400 miles and the brittle factory secondary rollers broke on me and stranded me . Ordered Cubic Dollar Offroad replacements.
    I badly want an XRC Turbo RR , all the extra protection from the factory, roof and winch are super sweet . You never stated why you came back from 72” to 64”? As I’d be going from 64” to 72” . I want the extra 2” clearance .
    Tossed you a sub bud happy trails !

      Thanks for the sub, I returned the favor. 👊 I haven't had any issues with the rollers on any of my X3's yet. But that's probably because I trade them in every year lol. The main reason I went back to the 64 inch model is because of where we ride. The trails where we live are relatively narrow, I could make it through with 72 inch X3 but I'd have to slow down and drive through cautiously, which slowed everyone down. The new XRC is my favorite machine on the market right now. It looks sweet. That would have been my next machine if I didn't have to worry about width. I don't care for the way the 64 inch RC looks for some reason. Thanks again for the sub.

      @@AssaultOffroad You’re welcome and thanks back to ya .
      I thought it may have been because of tight fitting . I’m torn considering going 72” in the future but worry about exactly what you just said . Ugh lol . I think I’d make it 98% fine in Arkansas at 72” but of course when that 2% I couldn’t popped up it’d be a frustrating trail experience.
      Yea if you’re trading that often you probably won’t ever have to worry about the rollers . I had just finished blitzing a trail with a lot of berms and on and off the throttle chasing a friend in his rzr pro xp when they gave out .

    Any regrets on not getting 4 seater? I’m having decision paralysis. I don’t want to eliminate the chance of ever having extra people ride, but is it worth $2,000/seat 😂😂

    • @AssaultOffroad
      @AssaultOffroad  ปีที่แล้ว

      😆 I hear ya lol. If we lived out west I'd get the 4 seater. All of the places we ride, it would be pretty tight with the longer machine.

      @@AssaultOffroad 4 seater sounds kinda awesome, but maybe not $4,000 extra awesome 😂😂😂. They look like limos. I imagine your driving style adjusts, but they’re beasts.

    2023 and the front shock\A arm brackets still are sheet metal and oblong through the sheer points of the chassis where the mounting bolts go through. Why has can am not upgraded these parts?

    • @AssaultOffroad
      @AssaultOffroad  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, good question. Not sure why they haven't addressed that yet. That happened to me on the 21 DS I used to own, I only had a few hundred miles on it. I drove through Rock House at Hatfield McCoy. It was a rough ride. It made the bolt hole oblong on one of the front A arms. You can install gusset kits, but they're a pain to install. They have a refresh for the X3 coming soon. Hopefully, they will address all of these issues.
