I love this. It’s so smooth and really makes me want to practice and progress more. Thanks for the time and knowledge that you’re providing. It’s going to help hundreds of us. 🙌🙏. Fastest chord progression I’ve learned.
Great video. I have just comed across your channel. I really appreciate the way you teach and share your knowledge. I have already subscribed and waiting to watch more good stuff like this. Thank
Great lesson!!! It reminds me of Spanky Alford's chord sequence at the beginning of D'Angelo and Raphael Saadiq's version of 'Lady' on the Chris Rock show!
Is this lick ment to just improvise over something? Or is it to make your own riffs with the same chord? Have u heard about a guitarist called Agape Jerry? He is sick!
Graff Jakobsen you can use this idea (or parts of it) in both rhythm and lead playing, or just use as an exercise. Yes, I have heard Agape Jerry...he’s great!
I too, love how efficient your teaching style is (with enough theory to actually internalize and apply the moves). Could you make a lesson on Really Love by D'Angelo?
Thank you! I actually recorded a cover version of "Really Love" a while back with Raquel Rodriguez (th-cam.com/video/1gx6ZRvEX08/w-d-xo.html), so I could do a lesson on that tune for sure.
One of the most concise/helpful guitar instructional videos I've ever seen.
Thanks!
sat down and learned this. I’m incredibly inspired. Thank you.
Awesome! You’re welcome.

Thanks! Love that performance!
@@JameyArent You're welcome! Legendary performance, it was!
Stunning lesson, gospel on guitar is underrated. How did you discover this chord sequence; did you examine gospel pianists?
Thank you! Yes, listening to pianists and organists, in addition to guitarists like Spanky Alford.
I see, thanks for sharing Spanky's name, i'd not heard of him before
This channel is freaking underated.ur guitar and video are sick man. U should change the channel name to jamie the sick lol
Thanks!!
Are you playing thru the Princeton here?
Yes I am.
Hi. What is the guitar on your far left. The one with the unusual f holes.
It’s a Kopp Archtops Betty Swing
@@JameyArent thanks. it's pretty
