that "ambush" truly hurt my soul
That was seriously the WORST ambush I have ever seen! The vehicles should not have been next to each other either - it was too easy for the enemy vehicle to wipe out both of them at once. The AT guys also need to learn how to gauge distance or should've waited for the SL to put an attack mark on the vehicle to get proper range.
Needless to say - the entire squad needs to spend more time on the training range! lol
Peeps like that don't need to have those kits anymore. None of them hit anything and that's just sad!
It’s funny because the coordination was spot on and everything else was so bad.
bonus points for parking on the downslope so they couldn’t back out of the engagement when it all went to shit

I know a lot of people are going to go on about the flubbed ambush highlight, but I would like to point out that the Chinese still failed to really get any momentum in their attack. Invasion layers let the defenders do some dumb shenanigans in the name of attrition due to the huge excess of tickets the defense gets initially…

HAT smaw doesnt have any marks. Just a cross with lines. no numbers. The law just have basic iron sights.
@@LilSaint001100 Law, okay, but smaw? It has zeroing at 100 (middle), and every other line is a 100m.. so first line - 200, second - 300 etc... plus it has spotting rifle that has same ballistics as the rockets

@@LilSaint001100 you can still zero the one with basic iron sight (maybe you can with the SMAW too, but that one has a scope which makes it infinitely easier), someone in the squad with binos should've accurately ranged that IFV before any engagement and if you ever intend to play as LAT or HAT you should at least spend some time in the training range getting familiar with all the kits or the very least learn how to fucking zero your weapons.
So what you're saying is literally not an excuse at all. Don't pick LAT or HAT if you have no idea what you're doing, stay as medic or rifleman.
Edit: goes for the two guys on the M2s too... it's just incredible

Training range is fine as a supplemental aid, but won't replace going in game, making mistakes and learning from them.

that is why i don't play the lat or hat kits. I 100% would have missed too.
The egregious part of it is that the SMAW is arguably the easiest AT to aim because of the spotting rifle attachment: just adjust the spotting rifle tracer onto the target and once it connects, fire your main HEAT projectile and it should connect…

21:00 LAV failed to kill the first ZBD because the gunner was being too cheap with the ammo!! He needed to LAY INTO HIM!
Driver of the LAV here, just saw this comment 4 months later haha. I remember this exact moment, we had been shooting at the ZBD for 20+ seconds and morale was getting pretty grim. I didn’t know how much health a ZBD had, plus we were taking significant damage by another ZBD I didn’t know was even shooting at us. I made the tactical decision to egress after about 20 seconds and no signs of damage to the ZBD, not realizing the deployed smoke would never conceal us from the 2nd ZBD at our 9 o’clock. Unfortunate situation, but those LAVs are pretty thinly skinned and we never should’ve engaged the enemy armor in the first place.
Won every battle but lost the war, great job by prolly just 2 infantry squads to hold Connolly until the platoon arrived, with no ammo no build, great fruvking game, that calls for a big GG

This whole episode is like a cautionary tale on why you shouldnt take hat or even lat without lots of practice in the range. Youre handicapping your teams anti-armor
