This was great D, I hadn't seen this particular version of this song on video yet. But, their stage performance is absolutely worth the money I can tell, and they go above and beyond when they are live. Once again Rammstein never is boring or disappointing! I totally agree with you.
This would have been, and still is, a massive song for them, since it was their first single. Probably meant even more then as they just had the 2 albums out at the time. Now huge songs off the Sehnsucht album like Du Hast and Engel had only been out a year vs 4 years of Du Riechst So Gut. They used it as the closer for 100 Jahre

2.) To help you with some German: if you see a combination of - ie- in a word, it's pronounced "ee" (like "see". But if you see a combination of -ei-, it's pronounced like "ay" like the word "bye bye", so the phonetic transcription of the title would be something like: "Du rihst zo gúd" (one s is pronounced like z) Just lookin out for you, brother👊
"ch" is pronounced similar to a hiss, like a cat. I can't explain it any other way.
“riechst” - “ch”.
"riechst" is very difficult to pronounce for someone who doesn't speak German.
@@miraz.6825 It's a palatalized version of "h". Try to say "h", but push your tongue up, towards your soft pallet, like the "j" sound in "yes." Like "h" and that sound "j" together. It is similar to a hiss though. Like a cat😅

This is a good version. The best live version of this song I would say is from the legendary "Volkerball", everything on point there. The Paris version,which Bucksttabu
also has up, is good too. I have up the 100 Jahre version from 1996, which is a completely different kind of performance 😅
The problem with the Hellfest version, is it's a festival camera crew shooting Rammstein for TV or whatever and not Rammstein's camera crew shooting Rammstein. So they miss a lot of the shots as they don't know the routine to highlight the right stuff. Probably the worst version
Volkerball? Maybe Instrumental. But tills voice was damaged during the tour 2004-2005.
Tills voice in the 90s was his prime. Deep, strong and powerful.
