Hello, I was wondering about the step up rings used, it that one ring or a series of rings stacked together, I'm currently printing this set and would like to be able to finish it in the same manner.

Thanks for sharing the process of re-ousing old Russian and Japanese lenses. Any idea how much it would cost to rehouse my two Helios 44-2 58mm f2 and Helios 44M 58mm f2 lens?
I am not diligent enough to print and sell the lens housing, so I recommend that you receive a free shared file through the link in the TH-cam video description and print it yourself. (I think this method is more suitable for sharing ideas with multiple people, and it will also reduce the cost of your responsibilities) :D I didn't have a Helios 44M lens, so I couldn't work on the housing. For this to work, I need to check the external specifications of the actual lens and how it works, and I have to personally purchase it myself, as I said earlier, I'm lazy and I can't afford it! :(
매번 영상 잘 보고있습니다! 제가 궁금한게 있는데 혹시 캐논 풀프레임 EF 렌즈를 M39(L39) 마운트 필름카메라에 사용할 수 있는 어댑터 제작해주실 수 있을까요? 캐논 EF렌즈를 소니 e마운트로 변환하는 어댑터 처럼요. 요즘 3D 프린터로 카메라 악세서리를 많이 만들고있는데 어댑터는 어렵네요 ㅠㅠ
반갑습니다. 3D 출력 재질의 한계로 작은 돌기를 가진 구조물은 내구성이나 안정성이 좋지 않더군요. 더구나 EF 마운트에서 렌즈와 맞물리는 부분은 일정한 힘으로 고정시켜주는 탄성 있는 부속이 필요하고 렌즈를 정확한 위치에 고정하기 위한 작은 걸림쇠 구조 그리고 걸림을 on/off 할 수 있는 추가적 장치가 필요합니다. 물론 생략해서도 가능하지만, 그러면 본래의 마운트의 편리함과 안정성의 장점이 사라지지 않을까요. 앞에서 열거한 점들을 고려하면, 3D 프린팅으로 어댑터 등을 만드는 것은 그리 효율적이지 않다고 개인적으로 생각하고 있습니다. 그냥 한번 테스트를 위한 용도로는 가능하겠지만... EF to M39 어댑터는 기성 제품이 아마 없을 텐데, 만약 반드시 필요하다면 EF to L/M 어댑터의 라이카 M 마운트 부분을 M39 마운트로 개조하는 것이 더 낫지 않을까 생각합니다. (플랜지 백 거리에서 1mm 정도의 미세한 차이가 있으니 이 부분에 대한 고려가 필요합니다)
HI i have a question, this is the same process what iron glass do? or its something different, algo i would like to know if can be able to change 3d print for aluminium?
Wouldn't it be too heavy if it was made of metal such as aluminum? It is a custom design for 3D printing that is used as a PLA or ABS material, so it is designed in consideration of the strength and weight of the plastic. If it is processed into a metal material as it is, I think it will be stronger and heavier than necessary. If you plan to process it with high-strength and heavy-weight materials, I think it would be good to modify the design accordingly.
@@MountainBreezeStudio ohh i understand, i asked because i have bunch of soviets lenses and i would like to rehousing everything in PL but full body thats why i asked about ironglass manufacturing, If you have any suggestions i will appreciate a lot
@@LuisBendezuV Normal 3D printers cant print metal, they can print solid plastics. Thera are some filament which you can convert in metal but they are expensive and the process ist complicated, You could drill it with a CNC maybe. But with a cnc it would be comlicated too, because you will need a 3rd. axis.
Unfortunately, I can't try rehousing modeling because I don't have the Summilux-R 50mm lens. Incidentally, do you need a re-housing for this lens that doesn't have major flaws in appearance and functionality? :-)

Could you make a Re-housing video for Summilux-R 50mm, please?
