What is ASMR?
To me ASMR is an art form, just as a movie can put you in a different state of mind, so can ASMR. The difference being, movies achieve this state of mind as a byproduct, while ASMR strives to find those bits and amplify them. Over the years ASMR has greatly evolved from a simple tingle to a full body and mind experience. With an infinite amount of genres designed to help you, most popularly it can be used for relaxation, focus, motivation, stress and anxiety relief.
As the asmr community rapidly grows so does it's understanding. No longer is asmr a guilty pleasure but rather a scientifically studied and proven method of relaxation as a branch of meditation. As a follower of ASMR you know just how beneficial it can be first hand, and if you are new, I greatly encourage you to step into this new world with and open mind... just be sure you're ready for it to be blown.

I think some ASMRtists seem bored because most of them also listen to the sounds they make, which can make them sleepy as well. Hence why their face looks 'bored' but i think it's just the concentration and relaxation. 😌
I think thats why so many women (including myself) love his channel... he's super attentive... i feel like after a long day of work, he would actually engage in thoughtful conversation and listem to how much i hate that cow Rita at work lol

You might not see this but what I enjoy about your "roleplays" is that you could easily open up with a, "hi there, welcome to the clinic, this is what I'm gonna do for you" but you also throw in your own conversations making it feel like a real ljfe situation. We dont go to the doctors office or a barber shop and sit there just listening to the sound of the scissors, we listen to the doctor or barber ramble about themselves and tell us about whatever they're currently working on, and I think that adds extra flavor to your videos in general.

This was perfect because the fabric blended in with the background, so it LOOKED LIKE hand movements but had sounds that (obviously) went with it and weren’t fabricated or layered in.

This is the first ever asmr video i fell asleep to. I have been listening to asmr for about two years now. Since no videos make me fall asleep i used them as sounds for relaxing. Then one time i was in my bedroom, fully awake and just played this. Next thing you know i wake up listening to this vid.
