Very nice. A great demonstration of what can be done with a minimal setup. I don't think I've seen anyone show such a range of sounds with just an oscillator and filter. Thanks for spending the time with just the two before bringing the contact mic into the loop. A great video well worth the time to watch it.

Hey I just want to say how much I appreciate these reviews. You make some great points about intent and approach in building and combining different instruments, and even when I knew the basic concepts you cover in some of the videos, I usually walked away with a lot of ideas (especially for things I already own and haven't fully implemented). I hope you keep it up!

Thats some harsh rocking noise right there at the end, crushing hellscape, no escape, admit defeat and let it wash over you type of thing. Love it.

I’ve seen a lot of folks using little skiff cases like these as like a “bonus box” for semi-modular stuff. That seems like a useful way to get acquainted with Modular as a concept/ play style. Love that idea of having a standalone performance piece that doubles as a studio rack sorta deal like you mentioned 7:43

this just seems so primitive compared to phaseplant or some such

sure i guess? matter of taste. some people like "primitive" analog oscillators more than they like the sound of software plugins. i know i do. plus, you cant wrap phaseplant in chains and use it as a physical weapon.
