The singer Kala also had done a great version of Sober when she was a bit older with OMF...
Brilliant by all these young people. A masterful performance by Kala Rose singing Maynards lyrics with so much soul.
Follow all her performances at O'Keefe Music Academy. They are all amazing.
Have you seen the video where Danny Carey performs The Pot with kids?
The drummer beat that cymbal at the end of the video, like it owed him money
This is the most delicious video I have ever seen, for sooooo many reasons!!!
kid playing bass is wearing a Periphery shirt. He knows how to support the good stuff.
the singer kala has a band now with other well not kids anymore but young adults from o'keefe music foundation. it's called saving escape.
pretty good stuff.
Wood Block Cam might be the best way to start this reaction ever.
OMG!!! Who are you???
Just like the real band personalities 🔥❤️😎👍🏻
The singer Kala also did Sober and a version of the Pot as well.
These kids are mind blowing and their teachers should be immensely proud of their acheivements as well as the school's ability to foster and nurture this talent. Schools have come a long way from teaching the simple songs we used to be forced to learn. They didn't have Tool when I was this young.
I wonder if these kids know how cool they are. Probably. 😂
At that age I really was picking my scabs... 👍🏻🤪🤣😎💯
TMI 😂
Actually Tool must have seen this. The drummer of Tool is one of the founders of the O'Keefe Foundation.
"wood block kid" plays drums on "No More Tears" cover.
i'd only listened to "Undertow" and "Aenima" albums before this cover got me back listening to "Tool"
Oooh. I love “No More Tears”. I need to find that.
Tool has seen this video! Justin Chancellor is a huge fan!
This may be apocryphal, but I heard Danny Carry donated a large sum to this group after watching this
I played drums in school band through late grade school. Played a little behind a kit with some friends with guitars, but nothing past junior high. I really sucked, they were much better.
amazing!-its kinda weird to hear such a young cute girl sing such heavy lyrics..., drummer on that fill was killing it!
I played the flute in sixth grade. Hated it. I wished I played the Saxophone, so much cooler. In HS I taught myself how to play the drums but I never tried to do anything with it.
Lurve!!! New sub.
Did you play any instruments as a kid?
My parents did not allow me lessons for violin that I wanted to learn, so I bought a cheap keyboard of my own money and tried learning by myself with some books.
I played viola in junior high. I played snare drum in a drum and bugle corps in high school. I am by no stretch of the imagination a drummer though.
I thought I played the drums as a kid. Then I heard Tool and realized I had no idea WTF I was doing! 😆
