I've just come back from a trip to Bruges. Oh my god, I'm so much in love! The city is breathtaking. There should have been a picture of the lake of love in the video. It's stunningly beautiful.
We have so much wonderful cities in Europe (and no trailer parks ...!), but it is hard to say which town is the most beautiful. I am almost shore it's Bruges, we were there last week. A dream.
I just love this city! I was there visiting some nice friends aproximately three weeks ago and the city stunned me with its beauty. It even stunned me so much that I will return to it in late june this year. Wonderful city, everyone should have seen it once at least:)
It's a very calm period in february ... from the middle of march on ... the high season starts again.. but that's good .. because now it's more calm in the streets.
@BelgiumsBiggestU2Fan I asked this a few days before the trip. We went to Belgium last month, first we got to Brussels, stayed there a night and then next morning went to Bruges. It's funny and amazing at the same time, fact that you immediately fall in love with Bruges by walking down the streets. I couldnt help it, the smile was on my face all the time
It's like a fucking fairytail isn't it what with the cannals, the gothic, the fucking swans the way the fucking crisp fog covers the water under the quarter moon at night. Quite magical like a beautiful dream I recon
Better to advise them to visit Knokke or the like, than Ostend. (Although i understand your point, with direct train Bruges-Ostend.) In O you can take the tram to other coastal cities, of which Knokke-Heist is famous & one of belgian's most expensive cities to live. If in Ostend, at least go have a walk on boulevard (which practically starts at the station), @ very 'end' have some lunch @ Thermes hotel or o.c. many other restaurants @ boul. For swimmers, O has 50m pool w/ salty water @ boul :)

joselina Ubau no, of course its not Madrid or Berlin but there are acouple of places you can drink, a lot of tourists at night partying, not hardcore partying tho.
my current medicine consists of encouraging extreme relaxation... sleep is the best elixir... you guys are all too active... do less, the good will grow...
