I hope he makes you other Filipino dishes too, like pork/chicken adobo, chicken with green papaya soup, or pinakbet.

I know Earls is a urban planner (?), I think, so thankfully he probably has work friends. Earl, you have family in Korea so it's important to see them. Earl's family lives in the USA, which is pretty far away, but maybe you have family in the Philippines still as well? Wow. So spread out. I guess...that might be the norm these days. I lived in California my whole life, near San Francisco until I got an opportunity to live in Seattle for two years. It felt like another country. But I'm so grateful for the experience.
