As usual, we had to make sure to hit all of the sneaker spots in town and even stumbled into the Dog City phenomenon (you’ll understand in a second hang tight).

Get the camera guy something with 4k just in case Netflix, Amazon Prime,Hulu hit you up footage. 4k or higher is needed. This is phenomenal fellas. Always future proof your content.

That's not how it works. Netflix doesn't care about the camera gear you use at all if they are reaching out for publishing.
It's only when you are submitting your own content that you need to follow their guidelines, ex: 90% of footage needs to be recorded on a Netflix Approved camera.
Also 4K means absolutely nothing. There are phones out there with terrible sensors that record in 4K, that doesn't mean it's in the list of approved gear.
1080p is just fine, he is probably downscaling from 4K anyways.
