- Im not sure why but I love to make street sweeper videos. The first two street sweepers where driving at the speed that was normal for a Recology sweeper. But the last one was really going fast and that was because the driver could not come to work, and the other guy had to come after his route to do his. How is it going
When I was a kid back in the 80s they had a street sweeper and a water truck. The water truck would go ahead of the sweeper and blast the dirt, trash and leave from the curve and the sweeper would follow behind to suck it up.

Cool sweeper! I have always been a fan of those. Recology San Mateo doesnt have any of these sadly but just down the road there is Recology San Bruno and I saw that they have a couple of these, Also there is the city of Redwood City that has only 2 street sweepers.. Nice catch
I didn't know Recology ran sweepers. I thought they just did garbage service.
I use one of these for work can someone help me? I have to clean the inside out and the hopper screen is filled with grass. I tried to clean it with a garden-hoe per the training video but that didn't work. I was just scraping the screen. The grass is still stuck there. Is there a way to lower the screen and blow out the grass?
I know it's a year old as just watched it now lol but have you thought of using a jet washer to blast the grass through. As I use a 3.5 ton urban sweeper for the council and jet wash the inside of the hopper and filters works.
@@user-sx8px4ki3z I did that and the grass just raised up and set back down all matted. So I set the sweeper in a very hot place with the door open so the grass would dry out. Next day the grass flew out…

That's one way of cleaning up leafs off of the ground.
Didn't do such a good job. Wasn't even touching the curb at most points and missing spots

I think the city need to hire a new cleaning company with a functional truck.
Well Recology does the sweeping with us also the garbage company, usually they do a better job, this guy had to o do it after his own route and wanted to go home

Those things are the enemy where I’m from. Get huge fines if you don’t get your car out of the way. Absolutely despise street sweeping. If there wasn’t a fine, ok it’s alright, but fine me f**k you
I don’t get American sweeper trucks, they’re soo inferior compared to what the Europeans and Australasia have readily available. 👀
