I love all the science that this author puts into his books. This is truly science fiction, because there was actual science in it. Love it love it love it.
The covers of these old scifi paper backs is pure art work!!! I have created several picture frame tiled collages of old scifi book covers I found on the Internet. I have resized the covers to be paperback book size and themed. Robots, Aliens, Spaceships, and Alien worlds. Dont sell them just artwork for my man cave.
The only thing that bugs me about this story is they talk about how much care for details they put into this platform and how extremely important it is to defend it and yet they only send up 6 defensive missiles and they don't even consider what else they can do until after they arrive onboard. The people who put so much care into every detail didn't think of this? I know it's nitpicking but it seems like a big plot hole. I still like the story. I just ignore this point.

Murray is a decent journeyman writer of 50's sci-fi, but you couldn't tell it from this.
