I have no idea how this ended up on my front page but I love journaling! If you ever have a deep conversation with someone, but it's something you haven't talked about it before -- you might find yourself pausing, thinking, and leaving with some half-baked thoughts. I view journaling as a way to "have conversations with yourself" and make sense of your thoughts. Then if you do have some deep or emotional conversation with someone, it's a lot more rich and coherent. Most importantly though, it boosts your self-awareness. I find it's a lot easier to be honest with myself while writing, rather than just thinking aimlessly. Sometimes I go back to entries from months or years ago and I see how far I've come. I think we can feel we're not moving forward, but often times that's just not the case. I usually just type them out, but I think you've sold me on buying a blank page journal.
I was responding to your comment and I ended up adding it to my video's description; however, this was initially written in response to your words: I completely agree with your view. It does sharpness thought processes and I didn't come to think of how it strengthens honesty as well. It's a confronting habit and honesty with the self, most definitely affects honesty with others. There's a bitter sweetness to reading back on your thoughts and seeing how much difference has occurred. OUR EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE IS INVISIBLE! But journal entries are my archives and I do not fear them. They're the scrapbook of my soul and I'm proud of the memories. Good or bad. I hope other's can find security and love in their journals as much as I have mine. Feel free to share a journal PROMPT! I'm sure the romantics would love to explore. I’ve always wanted to journal daily, but never have because I was never sure what to journal. (well I have journaled before, but never forced it by making it a daily habit or anything, I just take notes on random shit when I don’t want to forget shit) Anyways I started recently reading the book “Atomic Habits” by James Clear and I noticed my mind started drifting a lot which makes it hard to retain information I’m reading. I realized this could be a great opportunity to journal, by noting down things I learn from the book periodically as I’m reading! If you have any self improvement book recommendations by the way then drop them! I think after Atomic Habits I’m going to read “The 48 Laws of Power” (I think that is what it’s called)

Loved the video as well, but I think I'm going to stop journaling in "written form" soon, as I seem to not reach out for the pen as often anymore and think audio recording a journal could be a simpler and faster approach?
