- Srila Prabhupada always liked traditional Bengali Cooking, and so, on the day of his departure, it is only right to cook a traditional Bengali feast.
Feasts in gurukula give the boys an opportunity to learn cooking, spend time together, and also have a bit of fun!

Vedic culture is good but it also have some bad sides like cast systems, untouchability and superstitions
Hope whole world will be changed with krishna way. All these kids are blessed kids. Hope they are learning how to fight with evil people. Some parts of the world is not as good, as we thought.

Ye ek do videshi ko dekh ke aaise react mat karo. Tum bharatiya sanskriti maante ho to ? Agar mante ho to tab thik he warna dusro ke comment ko dekhkar ye sab likhne ka koi phyaeeda nahi. Waise vhi hum videshi tor tareka apna chuke hai to ye sab bolne ka koi phyaade nahi. Yehi videshi log hame unhygiene kehte hai jab hum haath se khaana khate hai. Children are trained early to serve mankind.. That's what we must inculcate among kids.
It's just mesmerizing,they are far better than many men and women who don't want to try kitchen other than an omlette or Maggi or nonveg item. Most of the veg items take effort to cook( cleaning,sorting, cutting, masalas) but the real organic fresh food has a different superb taste. The more intake satvik food, the more the mind is calm/ cool. It's the happiest occasion for children to prepare something new / special with their own hands.
Being a Hindu I was convent educated and the only thing I learned was how to hate myself, and built an inferior complex, most of the time teachers (sisters/nuns we used to call) were humiliating and too strict...I wish my parents sent me to Gurukul to learn these important life skills and most importantly how to love and be respectful to each other. .These boys are precious and I hope they have a good, fruitful life ahead..
