    I’m trying to get into the construction world applying as an assistant superintendent and just now found your videos after 7 months of research. Your channel is hugely helpful and encouraging as someone coming out of 10 years on active duty. So thank you for reaffirming for me that my passion for excellence won’t be wasted.

    Got an onsite interview tomorrow for what will hopefully be my first job as a super!
    Scouring the internet right now for resources and this was helpful! Thank you much.

    I really can thank you enough for the videos. I’m a 8-9 year experience plumber, I have been the lead field technician and lead QC tech for the last three years. I have an onsite interview to be a plumbing superintendent tomorrow!!

    Hey Jason, this is valuable information and very applicable to anybody who wants to run commercial projects. You’re doing great work here and everybody should be taking notes.

    28 just became a commercial superintendent coming from 9 years of residential labor work , biggest advice is be teachable , be the dumbest person in the room and learn everything

    Jason, what do you recommend if our company does not use takt planning. They use MS project I am 26 yrs old and was given the opportunity to manage a 70 million dollar project with 380 units, 2 pools, 4 elevators & 8 story garage. Currently 1 super and 2 assistants.

      I would run the project with Takt and export the schedule to whatever format they want. If it is your ass on the line it is your decision.

    Can you link a video that gives a good example of a time by location schedule layout?

    what is the difference between a superintendent and a construction manager? also is a construction manager the same thing as a project manager?

    • @jasonwilliamschroeder
      @jasonwilliamschroeder  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It depends on where you are in the world. A super is in control of the field and manages the day to day. A project manager supplies the project with resources and leads the project from start to finish.

    Jason, what do you consider a bad project?

    • @jasonwilliamschroeder
      @jasonwilliamschroeder  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@hoax999 any project that marginalizes people. A project where anyone has to lose.

      @jasonwilliamschroeder would you do If you were undervalued had these skills and weren't offered a promotion because you pissed your company president off for expressing that.

      I'm jk you'd quit. Your advice is nice but that's not how you actually get promoted. Yea you'll understand the job better if you do those things, but everyone will hate you. You need to be silent and let project managers be really stupid and be a boot licker

    • @jefff4771
      @jefff4771 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you want to be promoted in construction you never talk back and recognize that the things being requested of you are coming from incredibly stupid people and you need to stroke their ego then just get it done
