Hi Jade, I´ve heard that in wartime communication, "Roger" came to represent "R" when spelling out a word. "R" is the first letter in "received", used to acknowledge understanding a message. This spread to civilian usage as "ROGER" replaced "received" in spoken usage in air traffic radio. Thanks for your class, excellent.
She has a sweet voice. her style for speaking and technique for teaching is very attractive as well. I clearly understood her speech because she taught in a slow way.
Thanks alot! The reason, I'm here for: to improove my english! German, with strong bonds to the english-spoken world. 2 more ideas for a "yes" from my side would be: "I'm okay with that" or, more enthusiastic: "I'm totally okay with that". Or is that just me? About the party and the beer: there is this wonderful story about prof. Nigel Kennedy, wanting to get into a concert hall. To play. But the doorman didn't know him: "You're a punk. Why do you want go get in here?" "I'm the violinist. It's my show!" He wasn't let in. (At least: it took some further effort.) Maybe someone else knows more details? I'd really love to know! Greetings from the far north of Germany!
This video really useful like others from Jade and EngVid teachers. The information that I've got from this video helping me not to answer only "Yes" to somebody's questions. It's fabulous
I like that you kept the eye contact thingy throughout the years, it's really nice, gives a nice touch of care to the things you are telling. You are amazing, keep it up!!
You are the best Teacher. I love the way you speak slowly and Pretty awesome articulation of rules to use most of the time. Thanks for your Video very helpful!
Thanks Jade you have used a very interesting and technical way to explain the lesson,i could get inmersed in the story you used to explain the ways to say YES,I have learned a lot from this lesson....., everything understood.....thanks a million .
Hi! Jade. Thanks for your video from Alicante (Spain). I love the way you teach. This is the first video of you I see, and I have enjoyed and learned a lot. Sorry if I have made any grammatical mistake, because I'm a beginer English student. Take care. Bye.
Dear Jade:You're blessed for your useful english classes.Dreaming of having you together to get into the amusement park similar to six flags at texas and play those skyscrappers swinging up and down in england.
Roger is still used when communicating with handheld radios as in security police or military situations in the north Atlantic archipelago.and internationally👍😃
In American English, "by all means" is usually a weird response to "can I take the chair?". Its a situationally appropriate response. How many ways is there and how much resource do you need for the menial task of taking a chair? It makes more sense as a response to "should we execute the business deal?" or "should I go the party?".
Thank you from the heart. You are beautiful, your voice is beautiful, and your style is wonderful. But please, we only want to learn British. Americans did not speak English until a while ago. As for you, it is your native language.
In my experience English people tend to be more direct when saying yes or no then Irish people when speaking English while the Germans are most direct when speaking English 👍😃
8:57,haha, what a bummer! That story tells us that everyone should be polite to everyone, even Jade! 😂😂😂 Had she been more polite that morrow, one of her biggest fans might have gotten her that VIP wristband, right? 😝😝😝
Let's play it by ear does NOT mean no in Australia it means that you are going decide what you are going to do later. Example "What time should I pick my children up" "Let's play it by ear" (I'll tell you later when they want to be picked up)
blood phoenix541 yeah it doesn’t mean no in England as well, your explanation perfectly explains how you would use it. I have never said it to mean no. I only say it to mean that I am unsure right now but we’ll figure it out as we go along or later. I am confused by what she means...
Anita Hidayah ‘well duh’ is very rude, don’t use it lol only use it with close friends who understand your jokes/jibes not general public or people who you just met oh god no
I enjoy your lessons because you manage to tell us what's behind the words. You're a smart and sensitive person. Thank you.

Mundane05 মাথার
Mundane05
Is 7:03 onwards "based on a true story"? It sure looks like it! Ughhhhh That bar tender!
Uh huh 😊- we also use this in Pashto language 😊😊...
In my experience English people tend to be more direct when saying yes or no then Irish people when speaking English while the Germans are most direct when speaking

Teacher you are so beautiful I like your accent very much when I hear you I feel very happy
Very interesting funny situations, I enjoyed the video.
Ale
Thanks for the effort.
Btw. I guess u forgot to mention the most obvious YES! of it all.. which is simply saying (OK!).
L s ok probably doesn't mean yes. Ok means it's not bad and it's not good at the same time
Not necessarily, no. Neither most of the words/phrases she mentioned on the board. A neutral yes if u may. It could go either way.
Affirmative
You are so pretty!🍏🍏🍏👍

Can someone help me figure out where Live Abuse Free's accent is from? I think she said south England but I'm not sure. Thanks.

Anyway, that "well, duh!" was quite rude, so I won't use it. 🙈😁
