Billy McGuinness,Linda Martin and Louis Walsh Fight (Part 2) On Late Late Show

- Billy McGuinness challenges the integrity of the panel give their views on each act competing for a spot to represent Ireland in the 2014 Eurovision. He said Louis Walsh was influencing the vote by having interest in Eoghan Quigg. He also said that Linda Martin was on Louis payroll and she was also biased in her opinion. He also accused Louis of getting Niall Horan of One Direction to tweet "Vote for Eoghan Quigg" The fight raged on and Linda Martin got up off her seat and confronted Billy and said she was very angry with his comments.
The rock icon insisted the X Factor judge is planning to use his "position of power" on the Late Late Show panel to "manipulate the text vote".
Billy, who is mentoring long-shot Laura O'Neill, said it was an "Aslan versus Louis Walsh fight".
Billy added: "What's the point in employing mentors if they've already decided who's going to win?
"I found out Louis Walsh and Linda Martin are on the panel. Are they going to influence the audience? Of course they are.
"You can nearly see Louis saying, 'Eoghan Quigg deserves to be on that stage! You deserve to be on that stage Eoghan! Second chance! This guy is right to represent Ireland!'
"But it's not fair for the other mentors that are putting in all the hard work."
Billy insisted it was wrong that stars including Olly Murs, Shane Filan, Brian McFadden and JLS' Marvin Humes have been trying to influence millions of Twitter followers to vote for Eoghan.
He said: "If you look at Eurovision for the last four years, Louis Walsh has been involved in the four acts.
"We need to lose the text vote and go back to an anonymous vote. Whenever Ireland won, it was not text voting.
"We need to lose that because it can be manipulated. That's not what it's about, it's a bleeding song contest."
Linda Martin made a show of yourself, she showed her true colours, she was acting like a tinker

Well, I never heard of Billy McGuinness but he comes across really well here exposing how Louis Walsh is essentially a puppeteer with people like Linda Martin in his pay. He is 100% correct, of course: Louis Walsh and the myriad of people doing his bidding on this show should be forbidden access to it. Over to you now, RTÉ. When RTÉ is finished, hopefully they'll do the same with RTÉ's Chairman Tom Savage, whose wife Terry Prone recurrently appears on RTÉ shows promoting clients of her public relations company, under the guise of "commentary on current affairs".

All involved in this row have let themselves down, especially Linda Martin. She should be ashamed of herself, brawling like a common fishwife on live TV. Louis Walsh has also proven himself to be a spineless twit, smiling like a fool throughout the whole thing. Billy McGuiness went too far but in fairness, he had a point. The system should be independent and without prejudice. Plus, Ireland hasn't a hope of winning the damn thing so what does it really matter. It was great telly though!!

Having heard all about the hullaballo, and only got to see it now, Billy is spot on, he was quite calm, if not truthfull before the song, Linda made a show of herself and started the heated bit after the song. The public should never have a vote for this, as was the case up to about 20 years ago. It only came in on the behest of Jonathon King and the BBc to try stop Ireland winning, and possibly get the UK to win, it failed on the second part. It is a SONGWRITERS CONTEST WHICH SHOULD BE JUDGED BY THEIR PEERS. Louis never wrote a letter that makes sense let alone a song. As for the comment about Billy being on something, Louis should remember all the rest of Aslan did to help the Digger's addiction, even if it meant sacking him to force him to get clean. Aslan have helped more for addiction counseling and treatment units than probably any other band in Ireland. maybe Billy saying what he did will get the ball rolling to stop the present rot.

What a common ill mannered ould slag Linda Martin is by first insulting Billy personally and then getting in his face to intimidate him. Fair play to him for standing up,looking her in the eyes as staying seated and not allowing her rant into his face which is aggressive, vulgar and hostile behavior and hence why this behavior starts many a bar fight.No lady would act in such a manner, especially on national TV!
As for the debate yes anyone trying to remove Louis Walsh's huge influence in modern Irish music is a hero in my eyes. Louis Walsh is to music what cancer is to the human body.

Totally agree. There has always been good music out there and there always will be, you just have to look for it. But it tends to get completely ignored by the media in favour of this karaoke, talent show crap. Don't get me wrong, most of them are good singers, but the music is boring. They all sound the same, and people are afraid to be different or creative. If Kurt Cobain for example, a legendary musician, went on X-Factor today he wouldn't make it passed the auditions because he doesn't sound conventional. It really pisses me off that so called "experts" are bickering about this crap on TV. It's a shame...
