omg please let me know your secret on how to prevent pippa from clawing any of your furniture!! 😫 ive tried double sided tape, a cat tree, furniture (pet safe) spray and spray water at the cat every time he claws my chair!! nothing has worked lol SOS
hi!!! i’ve had many cats in my life so i know the struggle!!! get a scratching post, make sure it has a good base so it doesn’t tip over! then each time your cat scratches the couch, tell them “no” then put them in front of the scratching post and take their paws and make the scratching motion on the post. they will start to understand it and if they scratch the post on their own give them some sort of a treat or give them attention, some sort of reward for the good behavior. this teaches them where they can and can’t scratch! hope this helps even though it’s wayyy late😂
cats naturally have to scratch something in order for them to maintain their claws, they usually scratch to actually shorten the claws!! it’s mostly just being able to teach them what they can and can’t scratch
@@lauraramsey4 hey! thanks so much for replying to this comment! lol ive been trying to do that every time ive caught him scratching, but haven't tried the part of actually picking him up and placing him in front of the post my boyfriend got him... (this is my first time living with a cat, it's my bf's and ive never been a cat person so im a little scared to pick them up even tho this one would never hurt a fly). i just have the post in front of the chair, but he still picks the damn chair over the nice scratching post!! LOL he's absolutely destroyed my chair in the past year. i will have to be brave and try to pick him up next time i catch him in the act like you suggested! thanks again for the help :)
@@destineedesousa6425 you’re welcome!! it’s suuuuuper important to model the desired behavior bc otherwise the cat just thinks he’s in trouble! when you put them in front of the post and make the scratching motion with their paws they will start to understand that this is where they are allowed to scratch and then the treats reinforce this even more! my old roommate had gotten a kitten and he picked up on this in about a week!!!

I just watched your home tour. What kind of job do you have, since you said you wear sweatsuits like every single day? I heard you talk about dressing up for fashion week and you travel a lot. I’m.just wondering why you feel the need to tell us where everything is from, the brand names. It’s kind of annoying to hear you talk that way. It’s like you seem like you’re a brand ambassador for all of the items in your apartment. So, I was just curious on what kind of job you have because the home tour was gorgeous. I really enjoyed seeing how well the closets were built in such a custom way. Do you own the apartment, I’m just wondering if you were able to get approval from your landlord to make the custom renovations? Anyway, I enjoyed your home tour, thanks for showing us a home that is so very well decorated. Take care.

Think you got ripped off paying that much for a small apartment. You are better off renting a small room and invest the rest of the money in an index fund or a down payment for a house. If you are renting an apartment like that, you are just throwing money away and making some else rich. I used to rent also but realize I was just wasting money. I work in tech and I bought my house in late 2019 for 800K. Now it is worth $1.2M. House was old and needed some repairs but I learned to fix a lot of it myself by watching how-to videos on TH-cam. The best investment I every made was buying a house in San Jose. No apartment living will ever beat having a full front yard , garage, and back yard along with a driveway and your own property separated by a fence. I was able to put down 20 percent down for my house by living really cheap and investing in Vanguard index funds. Good luck to you.
