Thank god the band culture is back get them kids into music like we use too glad to see them numbers growing.

Why can't we just be proud of the kids regardless. Good, bad or whatever....they have worked hard I'm sure. We must support our youth. Please don't hold the kids accountable for the announcer. I don't care who's performing, I love seeing "ALL" HBCU bands❤💙.

They sounded great and the dancers were lovely. I also loved the song selections. The announcer is who got them booed.

The announcer didn’t start anything. He just did what HBCU announcers does…talk ish. Everybody act like that’s something new.
The ANNOUNCER needs to RELAX. He legit turned the crowd against the band from the start. Know your audience. That "trash talk" BS ain't hitting everywhere. Champagne looks good. The band sounds solid. ❤💙

What do you do expect when 90% of your show was a diss to JSU lol of course you’re going to get boo’d. They should’ve put that energy into a creative show. That was a good showing for their program but it was a slaw show when it you put that mess up against top tier hbcu bands. They get a cookie for being average though… I guess. 🍪

On the positive side their numbers are back up and they sound good. Best ive seen Champagne look in a loooong time. And on the other hand whew that drill and Sonic Boom hate when your not even rivals nor in their class yikes
This feels like a "Band camp was just prepping for this game" type of show. Probably should have extended camp by a week with all the new students and with this basically being a recruitment trip but at least it's good to see SCSU start getting their numbers up again! Here's hoping the mid season is even better!

Is that the guy from FAMU? In 2019 he insulted TxSU about the hurricane. Some of those students had their homes flooded because they're native Houstonians and he never apologized.

SCSU announcer ummm there were so many downfield precision drill mistakes in this performance, look at mark 1:44 all four lines are crooked here alone. The show was ok IMO compared to State.
Every band will have crooked lines here and there. It happens, but I can say they fixed everything at the charlotte BOTB
