⚓ CELTIC WAY 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ LAXE - CASTROBO · Laxe / Ponteceso Variant

The Church of Santa María de Atalaia de Laxe is the starting point of this variant of the VÍA CÉLTICA. The temple of seafaring Gothic style will not leave us indifferent with its altarpiece of the Resurrection.
Then we go around the beach of this city to then undertake the slopes of Monte de San Pedro to reach Canduas, a place that welcomes us with a peculiar church.
The trip will continue through the valley that forms the Anllóns River Estuary, crossing rivers with old flour mills and a variety of population entities that will give us beautiful views of the Atlantic.
Later, we flank the northern slopes of Monte de Vilariño to move away from the coast and approach the Anllóns riverbed, where we witness its fertile meadows until we reach the place of A Garga, where this variant meets the one coming from Ponteceso.
From here the itinerary will involve a constant ascent to the village of A Pedra, but the effort is rewarded with good stretches of mountain path.
The Way will then lead us to the Rego de Santa Margarida Valley, where we can appreciate several interesting monumental landmarks set in beautiful surroundings.
Finally, we crown the ascent that runs through the Monte de Barralláns to undertake the descent to Castrobó through the charming Galician rural landscape.

Bonito camino, la frondosidad le da un plus de emoción y contacto con la naturaleza, aunque con tanta zarza supongo que será recomendable pantalon largo

Pues si tratan con muchísimo cariño todos los caminos. Este año en Baamonde conocimos a Sergio el taxista y se lo dije tienes que ver de rutas y sendas, estos chicos embellecen el camino y como explican todo es para agradecerlo. Esta etapa muy dura pero una preciosidad, como siempre gracias por compartilo❤❤❤

Maravilla de ruta, la senda de los molinos harineros viene en el libro de vía céltica? No la conocemos
San Martiño de Canduas tiene muy buena pinta, laxe y su entorno sin comentarios
