I haven't tested it yet but I hope that they have fixed some of the bugs and issues that are related to inviting and making parties, along with this update
Gu mines do 5 damage when activated, so max is 45 damage from a tower, but if you hit a gu mine while already poisoned, it resets poison cooldown and instantly deals a 12 damage poison tick. so if you stack mines, you're getting the 45 damage, plus the instant poison damage of like 5 more mines before you go down. I think you need 7 gu mines in a stack to instant down someone
@@zapatoweon4418 6 gu mines would do 90, since the first does 5 damage, then every other one would do 5 + 12. 5 + 17 + 17 + 17 + 17 + 17 = 90. You need 7 gu mines for 100hp (107 dmg total), 8 for 110 (124 dmg total), and all 9 for 125 (141 dmg total).

Pre site set ups is one of the dumbest changes in video game history. It actually ruins casual for the players who don’t take the game seriously and works to the detriment of new players cuz they won’t know about how or where reinforcements should be used.
On the other hand.... Most of the time reinforcements don't get used in Quick match and you have the one poor guy reinforcing the walls by himself. If you want to blame someone for this change, blame not the casual player who wouldn't know what they are doing but the 4 roamers that are running out to spawn peek instead of helping out reinforce the site while the one site player does all the reinforcement work and makes all the rotates. The pre reinforcements should be more focused on the most popular reinforced walls, a top 3 so that people know which walls are normally reinforced but leave enough unreinforced to let people play around with the rest. Exp: reinforcing CCTV wall and workshop wall in clubhouse

I have Maybe 1 in 10 matches that doesn't happen and even then most the place is walled off because of me. There was no reason for changing the game, only the playerbase. Yes, the game mode meant for newbies...is Clearance 10.... Tells you that Quick match is just slowly being turned into the TDM people want. It's quicker, people turn brains off even more and don't need to think about setups as much. The only change I would make to this system is to make it so that it only reinforces the most important walls, aka the top 3 walls that defenders would reinforce regardless of strategy. That way you still have 7 reinforcements to work with and all the rotate holes you could want to make without needing to stress as much. Also would help to teach newbies what walls are actually important to reinforce right away and not get shouted at
You need to be clearance level 10 to play quickmatch, which means they'll have to play standard which is basically made to be a longer quickmatch but shorter unranked, with only one round of OT and no ban phase. So people will have to play the game normally before starting the quickmatch mode, however that is not nearly enough time to start learning regular rotates or what walls to set up, which is why I always say to at least play the game with one person who has, Because the amount of new things you can learn is insane as a new player
It’s important to note with lesion traps that they work on AOE not contact, so you can place them around a door frame and as long as someone steps inside that AOE they’ll get hit by the gu mine, hopefully that helps someone
@@SomeSoggyToast25 I've almost always been able to sneak around gus I notice, just need to give them a lil bit of space. Only in cases where they're centered in a single doorway can you not sneak around it, and now that they're not cloaked lesions will be doing that even less.
@@ddvezz yes pc players get the ts, to test the changes and spot bugs before the season comes out, they cant just add the ts to console because they have to do multiple updates a week on it and have to communicate with sony and microsoft atleast a week ahead, so it makes the whole process slower and doesnt make sense to do
Well clearly the change in quickmatch is for newer player, but for the oldies it’s not so good. As a solution for that Ubisoft should make these reinforcements so that you can get them of the wall and deploy them somewhere else, like a deployable shield. Of course only in the prephase after that they’re locked
you want to have to go to a wall, spend x seconds on an animation, then run to another wall and spend even more time on animation to reinforce what you want, with the shortened prep phase you're gonna be in a 2v4 with the bomb down by the time you're done.

They made the change for Quick match that you cannot spawnpeek/runout attackers unless 10 seconds elapse or the attackers enter the building. At the same time, people, aka solo queue players were dealing with having to reinforce the site all by themselves while everyone else rushed to spawnpeek

It's just the placement of the reinforcements that are questionable, not the system itself. If it just reinforced the most important walls (Exp: CCTV wall in clubhouse) then it would be fine since that wall is always getting reinforced regardless of setup

As for your own suggestions, while nice they still dont really address the problem of setup since the time gained by reinforcing faster you lose with rotate holes/angle creation. You shouldnt have to fear for your life trying to get to the building watching 10 different angles. 10 seconds is more than enough for people to get to a spot they can set up from. After that spawnpeeking is free game cuz you chose to remain outside. Even pro league has something simar
They need to make prep phase like Old "RTS" Rainbow Six. You should be able to just choose the walls to have reinforce when you spawn, and then setup your stuff with a shorter prep phase. That or just leave it alone.

The prereinforce wall system will obviously need some tweaking but I prefer it to nobody reinforcing and I spend the entire time setting up some form of reinforcements because the rest wanna spawn peek and roam usually leaving my team with a deficit not even 30 seconds into the round. If everyone hates it enough maybe the cheaters will stick to unranked.
I'm reserving judgement on site pre-sets, as a Solo Q. I'll drop into a full ranked game, and my whole team will just dick around, leaving me to try to put up 10 reinforcements in 45 seconds. ALMOST makes me miss when reinforcements were per-operator, which basically forced participation. But that has its own pitfalls.
I have good news! It's not happening in Ranked because people need to be fully creative there to be competitive. The bad news? There's nothing that can be done about your team not reinforcing anything. The only thing you can do for that is to have a stack or pray.

Nah, now that they have an aoe just put them around door corners. Either they have to waste utility or health to walk in. Its a buff. Mainly bc they were never hard to see in the first place. They also no longer show up for i.q. even bigger buff. Since they are mechanical not electronic, emps do not work either. Huge, huge buff.

I stopped because I got tired of how each season kept on going with certain changes. Not all changes were bad of course, but most just made the game more unfun to play for me. But why implement a spawn safety so the newest players get a bad habit of thinking they have god mode for the first few seconds of attack. All they’ll do with this is cause for small cases of the opposite happen when people try to spawn peek and die because they’re opponent had god mode for little bit. It’s not like spawn peeking isn’t happening in ranked so why teach people to not spawn peek/run out like a mad man because they have god mode. It’s just an unfortunate thing the game is stuck with no matter what they do because of how the game is played and just how the game is designed. I would like to sometime return to actually playing the game because it used to be my absolute favorite game to play. Where I was ACTUALLY super excited to get back on it when I could. I have 4500 hours in Rainbow and this will be my last time playing if pre site setups are in and spawn peaking is gone. Its not my fault Ubisoft made it so if people don't pick a spawn point they all spawn together (which most people are so lazy now usually happens that way.) I don't have time to to play unranked and ranked and take the penalty if I have to leave the game and as much as it annoys me that players don't set up site I would rather have nothing reinforced and be able to be creative and I also don't have a 5 stack that would make playing them remotely enjoyable. Pre site setup also hurts Mira and Castle setups making them uncreative and boring. The frost rework is dumb, the lesion rework was unnecessary and If I wanted to play Call of Duty I would.
Yes. I am a grown up that has things to do. For the same reason I no longer play MMOs and go on dungeon raids is the same reason I don't play unranked or ranked. Im not getting a 30 min ban just because the dog had to go out and I was afk to long and if casual isnt even going to be creative or fun than Im not waisting my time.
I mentioned this before on reddit and whatnot but what I really wanted out of Quickmatch 2.0 was the system from TF2, where you can queue up for specific maps and see the activity of each respective one
Are the setups random? Or are they all the same? because quick match will definitely become stale, even considering all three gamemodes. Just memorize the setup and attack/defend the exact same way. Having said that, Mozzie's super shorty when?
the preset sites in quickplay is so terrible some of them are reddit worthy if theres not already a thread about them. and also as you said we are about to get a whole lotta people who dont know how to reinforce/site prep in ranked so thats lovely
I thought the pre set up was just partial. Like 3 reinforcements already up at the most helpful spots and some rotate holes. But it being ALL the reinforcements is kinda... really dumb

What if there is some algorithm that affects your MMR based on gadget placement etc specifically for the pre setup you get?

I mentioned this before on reddit and whatnot but what I really wanted out of Quickmatch 2.0 was the system from TF2, where you can queue up for specific maps and see the activity of each respective one

Are the setups random? Or are they all the same? because quick match will definitely become stale, even considering all three gamemodes.
Just memorize the setup and attack/defend the exact same way.

the preset sites in quickplay is so terrible some of them are reddit worthy if theres not already a thread about them.
and also as you said we are about to get a whole lotta people who dont know how to reinforce/site prep in ranked so thats lovely

I thought the pre set up was just partial. Like 3 reinforcements already up at the most helpful spots and some rotate holes. But it being ALL the reinforcements is kinda... really dumb

The commendation thing is more like destiny, minus the fact you get better shit than it being needed to rank up your mastery levels
5000+ hours on the game and never have I ever spawnpeeked for even just one time and hated the spawnpeekers always. can't tell how happy I am for the spawn protection especially as someone who doesn't even really play ranked and is a "casual" player. prepped sites suck, tho
