On behalf of the family, I want to thank you for recognizing Quentin's contribution to the UP Men's Basketball Team in the recently concluded UAAP. We are extremely proud of him!
Thank you to QMB’s Lolo for asking him to play for his Alma mater. Credit also goes to QMB’s parents who raised a fine young man who knows how to honor his elders.
We stan QMB!!!! Genuine Fighting Maroon! Utak at Puso!
Thank you for reminding that sports dominance is a cycle. We're from the bottom, now we're on top, but in the future we'll face decline. Of course we will celebrate our championship and do our best to maintain the winning culture. But as a community we need to stay grounded and supportive to our teams no matter what.
Congrats UP community! We are truly the best crowd and 6th man this season!
From a DLSU fan all I can say is congratulations to the UP Fighting Maroons! Better team in the series and deserving winners. Padayon!
Thank you 🙏
Good decision for not making a Game 2 loss episode. I am proud of how the UPMBT bounced back mentally after that 1-point loss. Almost all podcasters were saying this is DLSU's championship to lose and that UP won't even win a single game against DLSU this season. In the end, we prevailed. Kudos to Coach Gold for coming up with the biggest surprise (intentional or not) of just allowing QMB to play lowkey the whole eliminations round. Hindi nascout ni Topex, lol. Congratulations to the whole team, players and all coaching staff. What a way to silence all the haters. Very well-deserved.
good observation...QMB wasn't that spectacular in the elims and F4...but the Finals series it showed he can't be stopped by DLSU bigs... efficiency in games 1,2, and 3 that QMB provided...
Regarding the calls, you are right, sa freethow attempts palang kita na, 12/28 (DLSU) v. 14/17 (UP). This is way above UP's average the whole season. Also, rebounds, 43 rebounds (UP) vs. 36 rebounds (DLSU). Again, way above our average during Games 1 and 2 of the finals series. It's clear how determined UP was to secure this championship.DLSU's peak was when they beat UP during Round 2 where they (or at least the fans) thought they were already 90% sure of winning the championship. I am glad UP peaked at the right time, in the Finals.
A well- deserved win by the UPMBT! JD and QMB showed admirable leadership qualities that the rest of the players could emulate! :) UP fight!
That was a tim duncan-esque performance by QMB. I think he should have been co-FMVP with JD
nice analysis mga isko, but I believe you can still improve your show by having a proper outline/questions of the things to be discussed tas sana madagdagan pa kayo ng Isa para mas masaya pa😁 congratulations UPMBT, you deserve it🎉🎉
Congrats UPMBT. Well played game 3. And congrats to the UP community who kept the faith and walked the talk despite game 2.
"UP kasi exempted sa finals" Takte. Funny pero ouchie huhu. Still feels surreal this winning mentality, looking back talaga.
In Game 2, Lopez could have been the FMVP if UP had been able to close that game. It means he was really taking that road of greatness. He was really destined for it. In moments down low, heroes emerge. Francis Lopez rose to the occasion with great resilience. And yes RT, kudos to him.
Thank you, Enzo, for your sacrifice. Hahaha!
“Francis Lopez flirts with a triple-double.”
Congratulations to the UP Fighting Maroons! Congrats as well to the Maroon Talk team!
🎉🎉🎉 Next season will be challenging for the UPFM.
Congrats to the team and to UP Community. Amazing teamwork .
Spot on: Despite the officiating & player (MP) antics, the team clinched the championship for UP. They stayed patient and diligent.
System evolved by Coaches and team.
(Also, for the 'fans' who highlight the elite rivalry, it's all yours. UP will establish a streak of its own. Lahat ng teams & universities may fair chance for building their own legacies.)
Si Cyril Gonzales yung isa pang umalis sa team earlier this year, sirs. 😊
Si Chris Hubilla din sayang
Champion rin siya sa Mapua huhu happy for him!
@ Ay oo nga pala! Congrats, Cyril!
Pauto ang mga referee kay Phillips.
Kaya kinarma ang La Salle. Buti nga sa kanila.
@@JustFiloSuperstar last year season 86 na mafia sa UP manipis ang tawag ng ref dapat naka back to back na UP
Huhu we’ve been waiting for youuu 😅
Ayan na!!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Sana 2 or 3 position nya
Agree with you on all points but keep in mind that QMB was an eleventh hour addition to the lineup.
nauna tuloy sya mafoul out kay Q. But seriously, what was he thinking getting all those fouls and yet making only 6/16 freethrows. wasted opportunities
Karma is real 😅
Need to instill crowdfunding mentality from the UP community. Cannot depend on any one entity to financially sponsor the UP sports program. Too risky and not sustainable. Look what happened to ADMU. Should follow the UCLA franchise. The UC system is very similar to ours so we should study how UCLA did it. Despite being a state school and not enough financial support from state government, they have one of the most successful Sports program in the USA.
Sirs Phim and Enzo, I know we should be celebrating at this time still hahaha pero I’m interested on your take on who you think will fill the void na iiwan ni QMB. 😅 You think yung si FSA in waiting natin na si Nnoruka could be the answer?
Too early po Sir Ivan hahaha
@@phimmoTama, too early nga naman. We should be celebrating at this time. Don’t mind me, Sir Phim. 🤣
DASURV. Alam nyo anong ridiculous, yung gumulong gulong ng ilang ulit na ang OA talaga to sell a call, mocking whoever bantay. Nag gesture siya sa bench. He wanted to play a mind game. The thing is the gesture di naman pumupunta directly sa utak ng defender, it goes packaged as an insult to the refs' IQ. Parang sinasabi niya to the ref, mga bopis-utu-uto. And that to me as an audience is great. So sinong matalinong angaT don sa movie? (Aside from spatter on the loose controversy and yung limbo circus story siya lang yung gumawa sa sarili niya, and community saying your fault daan-daan ka provoking people at nagpublish pa, stop the drama, lets play bb, shall we. Di man lang kinondem yung action and yung nangyari regardless sino gumawa). Good thing cool lang and focused si Coach Gold sa game. Di niya na pinatulan any of the calls nor any folly unnecessary sideline antics.
Round 1, it was the incident that changed the momentum, tawagin nating 'break of the game" but not because of the capacity of those players and team in general as showed in that game. Round 2, we get where the team's coming from and we perfectly understand. Game 1, inuna kasi kayabangan ng n0obie. Game 2, pressure to seal the game that led to mental lapses, no excuse. Game 3, inuna yung floppie. O di ba, kung walang mga ganong antics eh di dapat nalaman sana kung ano talaga quality ng team from player 1-15 and the team as a whole as compared to another team for finals para magauge talaga anong dapat i-improve and so lacked foresight. Ending na-shock, singsing na sana, naging bato pa.
Lastly, ihtduht rivalry, we really don't care basta amin ang championship and we would love to see other teams makatapat ng team sa finals. Rivalry marketing to downplay truth. Truth be told, it is the most painful kasi expectations extended way above the ceiling coming from round robin 2-0 and the forecast 2-0 champion game emphasizing their ace's role, and had a wild G2 finish that led to higher expectation.
Better take the high road.
Agree. Almost all are crowning La salle already after that 2-0 elims against UP. Deserved talaga championship.
Season 89 Sage Tolentino one and done
Kung walang 6-11 nxt season 51:48 pwede irecruit si Caelum Harris can play multiple position
Pre gawan mo nga ng content season 88 tapatang ANDY GEMAO / REY REMOG AT NG UP VS. JACOB CORTEZ AT KIAN BACLAAN NG LSL
