How do trees get so tall? Do you know? Trees sprout from seeds, just like flowers, but then they grow MUCH MUCH taller. In this video, we’ll talk about HOW trees do it! They don’t grow bigger all over, like you do. They only grow in very special areas. We’ll learn about a special kind of tissue in trees called MERISTEM. We’ll also play a game - can you guess the tree, if you see its seed? Watch and find out!

The Arbor Day Foundation is working hard to find where in the world are the best places to plant these 20 million trees - where are they needed and where will they grow well. That way the trees can grow strong and healthy, and can contribute to a healthier planet for all of us!
