I have my suspicions that Adam pushed Jamie past his limits in the first few seasons. Adam has always been loud and obnoxious, which is exhausting for introverted people like Jamie. Not to mention, Adam was particularly disrespectful with him in the beginning. Jamie seems to be the type of person who's generally patient but once you push him over the line, you'll never gain his respect again.
