    Thanks Lindee, after using break apart, you can then edit points as well, which I couldn't before your tip!!

      You're welcome! There are all sorts of hidden nuggets in Hatch! Part of finding them is knowing that I do something similar in another program and then digging for it in Hatch.

    I'm sure you've figured it out by now, but when you open the outlines and offsets tool, there's a little checkbox next to both of them. The outline only puts an outline with zero offset from the object. The offset is for when you don't want it right on the perimeter. So if you uncheck offset, you get only one outline (for when you're making the satin around the G and the first border). When you go to make the outermost border, uncheck outline and check offset, and set your distance.

    u can also right click on a object and drag to clone it.

    u only want to create a offset or a outline and not both at same time or u get extra.
