No Road, No Powerline, No Mortgage: Living a Self-Sufficient Lifestyle in the 21st Century

Longtime Ski for Light guide Marvin Liewer lives in a log cabin, which he built with pine logs, iron tools and hard labor. He has a small solar system for electrical power. He heats and cooks with firewood, grows most of his own vegetables and hunts and fishes for some of his meat. In this special encore presentation from our 2021 SFL International Event: Virtually Everywhere!, Marvin tells the story of how he lives like this--and why some of us might want to think about it, too. He also takes questions from some of the many SFLers who tuned in.
