as long as you keep their cages and everything clean they are fine birds for allergies. Alot of birds make dust in their feathers but eclectus feathers have oil instead but you still need to keep everything else clean... I also have an air filter you can get air filters with allergy filters too so if you have that running where you keep the birds... In Australia eclectus cost anywhere from 500 to 1200
very cute bird. i have been wanting a bird for along time but my mom and brother has allergies is there a bird that would be okay i heard eclectus are good because they dont have alot of dander but i heard there very pricey too
^_^ Lol yeah Gershwins is a quick peekaboo and Jaspers is more like peekaboooooooo i suppose it's how the people say it to them hehe.. Today he kept saying 'peekapeekapeekapeekabooo' it was funny... ^_^ But Gershwins video is the reason I kept playing peekaboo with Jasper haha
They can live around 50-60 years in captivity. They are one of the few birds that actually live shorter in captivity and longer in the wild (up to 80 I believe) because they're diet is very hard to actually get right. They have a very long digestive tract compared to other parrots so absorb much more, they can't tolerate high fats or artificial vitamins and supplements
No he wasn't biting, they use their beak to steady themselves or test the stability of a branch/ your finger etc before stepping up. They use their beaks to climb ^_^
His feathers are so vibrant & full, the sign of a very healthy Eclectus.
1:55 OMG SO CUTE

I'm planning to buy an eclectus in the near future and just have one general question
"Do birds poop everywhere" ?
Absolutely
Was Jasper biting you? Does Jasper not have another parrot in his cage with him to keep him company?
No he wasn't biting, they use their beak to steady themselves or test the stability of a branch/ your finger etc before stepping up. They use their beaks to climb ^_^
